Beautifully renovated room, quite and comfortable. Free wine tasting from 5-6 pm every evening in the stylish lounge near lobby. The hotel location is great: two blocks to either orange or green line metro and lots of shopping (trendy Newbury street !) and excellent restaurants nearby.
Pros: hospitable and attentive staff

We stayed here for a night while visiting Boston on our eastern US honeymoon. We had read some reviews that the rooms were small and spare, we found the place the be lovely! Yes the room was somewhat small (and the shower tight) but it was a very clean modern place and perfect for getting around in Boston. They had flowers (an option when you reserve on their website) and they were beautiful. Very simple and if you are looking for everything to be in one building then this isn't the place for you, but if you want a cool simple place to stay (with good prices) in downtown Boston then this is the place for you!
Pros: Very cool, nice view, good rates
Cons: Shower is small,

Gourmeli's is inside Copley just before you walk the footbridge to Prudential. For a hotel restaurant it's great and for that matter it's great all around. They do an amazing brunch on the weekend with an inclusive price where you can choose from hot and cold foods including make your own omlette, french toast, pancakes, cereals, yogurts, fresh fruit, juice, coffee, tea. There's another part of the restaurant where you can just chill out and have drinks, coffee, dessert. They also have a regular a la carte menu. There's great people watching too and it's a good place to go anytime of the year.

The Spa at the Intercontinental is brand new. The treatment rooms are very comfortable and relaxing. The common areas are a bit small, but it doesn't take away from the experience. The gym definitely needs more equipment, but the indoor pool is amazing. It is expensive. I would try the spa for yourself and see if you like it -- makes for a great gift.

Booked through hotwire for a ridiculously low rate. They upgraded me to a king upon arrival, the room was fine, fairly standard though a bit nicer. Good bed, spacious, well filled bathroom. The TV was a little underwhelming, but the radio with iPod hookup was a nice touch. The robes and slippers were nice and the staff very courteous. I took full advantage of the facilities, using the all-new weight room in the evening and then walked a bit on a treadmill equipped with touchscreen controls and a built in TV. The gym also offered running routes, though none were more than 4 miles, so I made my own into south Boston and then stretched in the park adjacent to the hotel, a cute, quiet area. The showers, sauna, indoor lap pool, and jacuzzi were all amazing and definitely a higher level of class than I'm used to in my travels. Would I stay here again? Definitely at hotwire rates, and probably at normal rates too.

If you come here, you MUST make it a weekend affair. And I will tell you why: Satuirday's Chocolate Bar and Sunday's Jazz Brunch Buffet.
The Choclate Bar is EXACTLY how it sounds and it is AMAZING!!! It's a "try-all-you-like" buffet comprised of light and dark chocolate mousses, cakes, tortes, eclairs, crepes, ice cream, cookies pies and other confections. Then there's the Zing Bar (where the options include white milk and dark chocolate truffle lollipops and exotic fruit powders and spices for dipping), the Chocolate Fondue Station (featuring three flavored fondues a week) and Create-a-Crepe (a self-serve creperie with fillings from crumbled Oreos to creme anglaise). Among the other enticements are the Opera Torte, chocolate croissant bread pudding and the craziness of chocolate sushi (no, it's not seafood, it's fillings like mango "pickled ginger," pistachio "wasabi" and chocolate "soy sauce").
On to the Sunday brunch: Eight custom stations (omelet, pasta and crepe among them) serve as centerpiece to dozens of changing dishes, hot and cold. Look for tasty lamb and goat-cheese quesadillas and the custardy tropezine tart. Even adults will love the mac 'n' cheese, arrayed on a half-height kiddie table. Just as at the Chocoate Bar, the chocolate-croissant pudding is present.
If you don't go, you're absolutely crazy.

I loved this place the first time I stayed here, and now that I live in Boston I always have my out of town guests stay here - everyone has loved it! Don't be misled by the name - this is a B&B, not a private club. It's in the nicest neighborhood in Boston - the Back Bay - in a beautiful old brownstone with tons of character, nice rooms, helpful staff, and the prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend it!
Pros: location, price, charm

you are looking for good location and savings. This hotel is located in the theatre district and on the edge of Chinatown. Across the street from the hospital, it is not in a bad area of town, as previously reviewed. There is a T-stop literally right outside the door of the hotel. The hotel is on the Orange line of the T and only two stops away from Downtown Crossing where you can pick up the Red Line. The staff was helpful and friendly, however, get your questions answered before the night audit shift comes on at 11pm. They aren't too knowledgeable or helpful. Overall this is a great hotel for the price paid. (Except for the parking rates, they are steep but on pace with the remainder of the city).
Pros: Location, Nice, clean rooms

Jurys Hotel is located in the heart of Back Bay convienient to downtown shopping and area attractions like the Prudential Center, the Public Garden and Boston Common. The rooms here are first class- the very best amenities and service. They also have a very nice lounge and restaurant on the first floor as well which attracts the movers and shakers in the area as well as the upscale hotel guests. It is warm and cozy with chic decor and fabulous modern fireplace (great for winter time)
