Formaggios is an upscale wine, cheese and everything else associated with wine and cheese shop. Its smallish perhaps 750 square feet. It is attractively laid out with the sundry part up front and the cheese in the back. It is also on the way to or from the great restaurants in the "new" South End. The cheese is very, very good. The service is even better. Case in point: The girl friend likes a cheese with a "barnyard" flavor, so we must have tried 6 before she acquiesced. The cheese steward can not have been more knowledgeable and accommodating. Its seldom that I have seen such great service. I can only hope that Yale can be that good

Area Gourmet experts love the South End Formaggio- one visit and you'll see why. This store has a wide selection of hard-to-find ingredients and cooking tools. Some of the foods here are expensive, but impossible to find in other places. They have awesome selection of gourmet teas and chocolates. Julia Child supposedly used to stop in here- proof that it should be good enough for your needs as well.
