It has always amazed me how many people wait in line at Lollicup. What a gold mine this place is!! No other place in Super 88 ever has more than a couple of people in it, but this place (any time) has a wait. However, the service is quick and efficient. How I love the excitement of sucking up the giant tapioca ball in the jumbo straw, and then the thrill of chewing it. It's like a little ball of heaven. They have sucha wide range of flavors, it's nearly impossible to make up your mind. Unfortunately, I've read that each tapioca ball has a ton of calories -- very scary. Scary, but yummy.

If you've never heard of 'bubble tea' a.k.a. boba before, it is a tea (usually flavored) with tapioca pearls. The tea flavors range from milk tea to passion fruit flavored tea. The tapioca pearls are usually black-colored and chewy fun! As far as I know, Lollicup has the best bubble tea in Boston. I have tried many cafes' bubble tea - including several in Chinatown, however, none compare to Lollicup. The tapioca pearls are always cooked perfectly - firm but chewy. Lollicup also has an extensive menu featuring flavored snows, slushes, and shakes in addition to the normal tea. There are tons of inventive ways to consume those interactive tapioca pearls!
