After a horrid experience at Firestone next door, I went to Monroe when my alternator went out. Joe, the technician I worked with, recommended a towing company and tried (though unsuccessfully) to get a reduced price on the tow. He then spotted me $40 (out of his own pocket) to help pay the cash-only tow price! He gave me an EXCELLENT price on a new alternator, battery and replaced the awful brakes that Firestone had put on the year before! I couldn't recommend them more, especially Joe

I took my car for an oil change and saw that they would inspect brakes for free. I had been having a problem and asked them to take a test drive and let me know what they thought. After something like 7 hours, after a promised 2, they told me my rear rotors had become rough and were wearing my pads out quickly. So they replaced the rotors and pads in the back and said I was fine in the front. Going home, my car was screeching a bit and still giving me the same problem as before. I took it back, they said the found it to be fine. Later, when I went to a dealership he told me my front rotors were warped without even taking it for a test drive. So, the guys at Monro did the job backwards...but for half the price of the dealer.
