When you need a fast lunch downtown and the weather's warmish, don't pass up Herrera's Burritos. They have carts usually in front of Macy's and by the Old State House, across from Borders. The burritos are cheap and tasty, with fresh salsa and either beans or meat. They're wrapped tightly and you can take it off to eat in front of the charming Famine statue. They also have "burrito bowls" which I assume is the same thing in a bowl rather than tortilla. If you want a real storefront, there's one on Temple Place.

The Kingston Deli feels more like a greasy spoon diner than a typical deli. They serve everything you could possibly want from Reubens to Pancakes. Counter service is abrupt, but courteous at this very busy location in the heart of Boston's downtown. Prices are very reasonable with daily specials hardly costing over $8. The tables are a bit utilitarian as well as the decor, but patrons of this deli do not seem to mind as it is always packed during the mid-morning to afternoon rushes.

Tutto Italiano is an excellent Italian delicatessen located in the heart of the North End. They serve simply the best sandwiches with the best imported meats and cheeses. Sandwiches can be custom-made upon ordering, or you can choose from one of the menu's ever-changing selections. On some days, they have wine tastings to go along with the food. It's an excellent value for Boston's North End. Service is always efficient and courteous.

Susan's Deli of course features the best selection of sandwiches, wraps and soups under the sun. They have everything you can think of from hummus on a wrap to pastrami on Rye. Service at this busy downtown location can be rushed and you might feel as if you're being overlooked as a customer with specific needs. Prices are reasonable for the area with few sandwiches or meals topping the $10 mark. Open for breakfast as well- they serve up coffee and bagels for the masses.

this place has great sandwiches. i love their cuban sandwich! they offer breakfast as well which is great. their prices are affordable. it is a great place to go if you want a place where u can get a bit to eat and just sit and get a bit of work done or to just go with a friend to get a bite to eat. either way, it is a great place, with a homey feel to it.
