Horrible place! Feet stuck to the floor, bad song list, "drinks" contained no alcohol and served from red solo cups, 6.00 beers, private booths sucked-horrible feedback and literally electrical taped mics. Give your money to one of the less fortunate in the Commons....you will feel better about your experience then!! Needless to say would NEVAH (as they say) RETURN!!! Too bad because thought this was a cool idea for a bar...it was NASTY!!!!!!!

Good: private rooms are cool. never seen that before! Also the song library was never-ending. We spent nearly 3 hours and barely made a dent, which of course is a good excuse to come back.. Bad: I had to spend a small fortune to park. I ended up in the Ritz garage around the corner because street parking is impossible to find. Take the T!. Improvements: they should be open during the week..

we had a really fun bachelorette party recently and i'd highly recommend the place. some tips i have are 1. make a reservation or show up on the early side 2. do a private room so you don't have to pay at the door 3. tell the host you have a bride to be so they announce it and get everyone to embarrass and cheer her!

Limelite put on a successful party for my daughter. It was a struggle to find a place that was 'cool' enough to please the girls and at the same time age-appropriate by my standards. We put together gift bags with sunglasses, boas and other rock star props, which made for some adorable photos, but the real hit was the CD they recorded in the limelite studio room. It has been on repeat in our house for the past week!

I saw a review asking why they are categorized under kid's parties...I can attest to the fact that their children's birthday parties are amazing! I recently had my son's 10th birthday at Limelight, and he aboslutely loved it. We invited about 45 people (parents and kids) and it was the perfect size to be in Limelight's main stage area. The emcee was really kid friendly and was very patient and enthusiastic with the kids. The parents even had a good time! I received many compliments, and my youngest daughter, who is 6, is now begging to have her birthday at Limelight! I would recommend it to any parents who are trying to come up with a fun, creative and different idea for their children's birthdays. I promise you won't be disappointed!!

I'm not sure why Limelight is under family entertainment? I guess kids come during the day, but they are definitely not around when I've been. "Kareoke bar" doesn't do this establishment justice. It's got a club where you can perform in front of cheering strangers or in room where you can put on aprivate show for friends. It reminded me of that scene in Lost in Translation. I guess this is how they rock out in Japan. Its totally fun.

I consider myself in the know about karaoke because I've been to a ton of places over the years. No place takes karaoke as seriously or does a better job offering it than Limelight stage does. If you are a fan of karaoke, you just have to check this place out. You'll be pleasantly surprised because it's not what you'd expect - it's a hip place, with a mainstream crowd, and the karaoke system is really futuristic. I had gotten used to kjs cobbling together a tv, old mic and tattered song books....so Limelight's touch screens, flat screen tvs, automated system and digital song library pretty much blew me away. The best part is that you can sing in public on the stage or if you are either feeling in the mood to be shy or simply wan tto hog the mic - then you can rent a karaoke box. Awesome!

This karaoke lounge in downtown Boston is never very crowded, but if you are one of the brave few, you will have an excellent time! I personally go more to watch and laugh then sing, but even the onlookers will enjoy themselves at this sleek venue, complete with private rooms.
