I've been shopping at the Pet Shop Girls for a few months now and as many regulars know, there is some drama that comes with the place but I've learned to overlook it and appreciate the great things about this store:
1) Super knowledgable staff. Those PetShopGirls always have an answer for my many dog food questions. Also, I know nothing about cats and they helped me pick out a great gift for my sister's cat...cat loved the new bed!
2) Pedro! He is so cute!
3) The Bakery! My dog loves the cookies I get him from the Bakery. Would make good XMAS gifts. I recommend the peanut butter flavor.
4) WAY cheaper than PolkaDog.
5) Cute place...PINK!
The rewards program was a dissapointment, but I'm confident the new program will be good.
I have heard mixed reviews about the owner, but I have never seen him at the store and I visit 2 times a week.
Go and check it out! Highly Recommended.
Pros: Bakery, Staff, Parking on Union Park St. is easy
Cons: No animals for adoption/sale except crabs?

Ming Kee is the only Chinese owned fresh poultry store in Chinatown. They sell fresh chicken and duck to customers at a good price. There is often a line on the weekends because it is tradition for Chinese people to make soup or cook fresh chicken on the weekends. The workers are hard working, and my family always buys fresh chicken from this place. The chicken are delivered daily from a farm so we know the chicken are fresh and kept in good condition.
