I always reccomend The Paramount to anyone in from out of town. located in Boston's historic Beacon Hill, the cafeteria style locale is always right on target with classic breakfast fair to satisfy both a savory and sweet pallet. The line is generally out he door on the weekends, but it's well worth the wait !

My sister and I dined here last Sunday night and we had such a nice time. The service was wonderful, the food was great and the atmosphere was just perfect for a nice, quiet dinner with my sister. We had both recently returned from Paris and were craving a good French meal. She had the mussels and I had the steak. Both were really well prepared and delicious. We also shared the chocolate mousse for dessert. What a great presentation! We ordered Cote du Rhone by the glass which I highly recommend, but they have many other great wines on the list. We just had a perfect evening. And the price, I couldn't believe what a great deal it was! Definitely less expensive than Paris! If I lived in Boston (we are from NY) I would be dining here at least once a week. In fact I am planning to return with my husband just so he can try it. I know he would love it!
Pros: Ambience, Service, Food
Cons: None

I was pleasantly surprised by the unbelievable delicious food and the extremely attentive service. We tried the octopus and trip of pies for appetizers and both were to die for. I had a yellow fin tuna that was cooked to perfection over spinach and couscous. Others in my group had the sole and the shrimjp over couscous. I would caution the Shrim over Couscous dish was a mild spice (i love spicy food! - one person can barely handle mild salsa) so the waitstaff might want to make caution about that.
the decor was modern, trendy and inviting. The restuarnt is difficult to find. They are below street level and difficult to find unless you are looking for them. I would suggest a sign that is more visible from the street.
Cons: When the door opens there is a draft if youre near the door

I was a little nervous about the quality since it is a hotel restaurant, but I learned quickly there was nothing to worry about. Our service was a little slow at first, but became quite attentive after I politely requested to put in our order. The waiter made some good recommendations and was well versed on the menu.
The food was incredible! To start, I had the Lacquered Foie Gras which was nothing short of amazing. I would have this every night if possible.
My main dish was the Butter Basted Lobster which again was a decadent and delicious choice, much enjoyed. I had been previously told the portions were small, but I saw nothing to convince me of that and was feeling very full from these two dishes and was contemplating not ordering dessert. I would have totally missed out! I had the crunchy salty Chocolate mousse with coconut sorbet and was again very impressed. The meal overall was extremely good, well worth the hefty price tag.
Also, I should mention the wine list was several pages long with a wide selection that was impressive. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone and consider it one of my new favorites in Boston.
Other restaurants I like are Excelsior, L'Espalier and Locke-Ober, in that order. Excelsior is still my favorite(sorry Clio) but Clio is an excellent place to dine!

Ok...I went in expecting the worst. Brunch in a hotel (buffet)...clear sign of expecting bad food. However, I was completely surprised by my experience there. If you are hungry, would like an upscale brunch, and have $35 (tip not included)...you can plow through a great deal of food.
They have a menu you can order of off (all included in the buffet price). Made to order. The steak and egg was excellent. Duck confit hash..very good. Prawns...excellent. You can order as many items off the menu as you want. (Very cost effective). Don't be confused, the menu items are included in the buffet price.
Besides the menu, you can also visit the buffet line. Pastries, salmon & bagels, pancakes, waffles, fruit, desserts, etc.
Now don't get me wrong. As a high end brunch, I'm sure you can find better. But, if you can account for price and taste, it will be hard to find to any better. You will leave stuffed.
Pros: Brunch!

We love their pizza. their cause is really good, large pieces of tomatoes in it. we were recently in NY at a place our friends raved about, it was very similar to this place, but the NY sauce wasn't nearly as good. We usually get cheese pizza, sometimes with garlic. I like simple pizza. Their steak tips and turkey sandwich are also good and their breakfast is cheap. The workers aren't out-going-ly friendly, but they're fun to watch interacting with people, just don't take it personally you wimps. If you worked as hard as they do and for as little as they probably make, you'd probably act the same. I almost always get it to go. Only and minor disadvantage for us is that they have fountain cokes, but bottled pepsi products. i prefer bottled coke, so i usually just go next store and pick some up. Also, the people who take the money also touch the food, cleanliness concerns? But I've never gotten sick. We always buy two pizzas and freeze one, put the uneaten one in the freezer and put it in the oven for 13 minutes on 400? and it tastes fresh. LLLLLLove T Anthonys, especially for pizza.
Pros: pizza, fun atmosphere to watch
Cons: always cops around, pepsi products

whoa there....there's a new sheriff in town and her name is Rache Klein. Formerly of OHM sh has brought her fabulous talents and her excellent Sous chef to Aura. A foodies delight!!!
Yes the hotel still adds on 20% tip ( stupid at best) and the space is sort of grand central station with private paries to he left and bathroom priveleges to the right, but overall the experience was worth the hassle. Wait staff were knowledgeable and professional.
all dishes are innovative and extroadinary from steak and eggs to steak ad yellow watermelon
Best news is that there is no wait on weekends because the hotel clears out and reservations are easy ( so far)
Go....you will not be disappointed with the food.
