I would just like to thank Mike's mom for such a positive recommendation (BostonFoodie919). Because of your review I went and asked for Mike specifically. I'm sure you are so proud of him and hang all of his art work growing up on your refrigerator.
The review was appropriate as the restaurant is great, good food, good staff, good atmosphere.
Pros: MIKE!

The Nine Zero is one of Boston's top boutique hotels. Located right next to the Boston Commons, the hotel (a Kimpden hotel), has some of the nicest rooms you'll find in the city. Definitely expensive, but worth the price if you can afford it.

The Oak Bar and the Oak Room is really upscale eating and drinking but it comes at a price. The wine list is extensive but the prices are out of control - a Heitz Cellar bottle was listed for around $120 and I bought the same bottle for around $40. The steak was really good although the chateaubriand took very long but it was well worth it. Wear a jacket, they will not turn you away but you will stand out if you do not.

This place was a good spot to start our evening of drinking and dancing. Cover was free since we got in before ten. The scorpion bowls were huge and the price wasn't too bad (like $15 or so). There were more than enough straws in the bowl to go around, too. They walked around with cheap shots and BBQ skewers for a buck. It started out pretty sparse, which was good for talking and enjoying the scorpion bowls - then the DJ got the night moving with some good dance songs and not too many bright lights. I would definitely consider returning.

The Omni Parker House hotel has been a Boston institution for centuries, yet the rooms have been recently updated to include modern amenities as well. The rooms are full of history and character with guests having a choice of decor upon reservation. Room 13 is said to be haunted by one of the former patrons.
The restaurant at the Omni Parker House is credited with serving the first Boston creme pie and patrons can still enjoy this treat today. Service here is impeccable and worth the higher price tag of your stay.

Recommened by a friend at work as a great place to eat and have a great brew. She was so right. Had the Honey Mustard Chicken Sandwich on a multigrain bread and fries. Real good!! Also the brewslaw (coleslaw) was the best I have ever had. I'm not a big beer drinker but my friend said I would like theirs. The waitress recommended a light ale called "Lumpy Dog Ale" and it was the tastiest brew I ever had. I could definitely get used to eating there all the time. The atmosphere was clean and comfortable. Our waitress was very friendly. We gave her a well deserved large tip. I will definitely return next time I'm in Boston and recommend anyone to go give this place a try!!
Pros: Tastey Food & Drink, Moderately Priced, Comfortable Ambience

I loved staying at the Colonnade not only because it was a really nice hotel but because I love the side of Boston it is on. It is located across the street from the Prudential Center and a short walk to Copley Square, Boyslston and Newbury Ave. The hotel has a roof top pool which I never used but I love that it is there. And their restaurant is very good.

More
Venezia is a good restaurant located in South Boston's waterfront district. It can easily accomodate wedding receptions, big parties, or business functions. They feature live music on Friday and Saturday nights which adds to the entertainment value. It's a good place for a casual meal or good time. Less well suited for romantic occassions, but service here is excellent at this bustling neighborhood location.
