The Discover Center has lots of fun science things to do. It's not really geared toward little kids, except for the little pretend grocery store that they have in the back. We have had hours of fun there and we really enjoy making giant bubbles, playing with the whisper dish and pulling ourselves up to the ceiling.

The discovery center has a lot of hand on science displays. You can make giant bubbles, learn about electricity and check out their current display. They always have something they are highlighting. Dinosaurs and robots have been some in the past. It is a bit expensive but fun for a field trip or something special for the kids.

I've been to the Discovery Center countless times, and I always have fun. They rotate some exhibits to keep it interesting, but keep others so you can come back and show your friends or whatnot. I really like the fact that they give simple explanations of everything, so you can understand the different things you're doing without needing a PHD. The Discovery Center is great for dates, and you can show off you're science side. And, it's right across the Boise river from the park, so you can prepare a picnic and make an afternoon of it. Hands down, best scientific fun I've ever had.

We had a blast with our kids here--so many "cool" science experiments that kids love. Our favorites were the bubbles, the center of gravity spinners, and the seat pully system where they actually get to pull themselves about 9 feet high in a chair! A great activity for the whole family. My pre-schooler also loved the little kids room. We used the buy one, get one free coupons in the entertainment book--the prices ranged from $3-$6.
