Wind storm and your out of luck! 8/21/2010

Standing in the animal tent and having it blow over is a definitely scary- and then We are covered in dirt and couldn't see 2 feet in front of us. Minor scrapes and bruises- ambulances- rides shut down- dirt in your food.....but play at your own risk because there are NO refunds......sorry kids but the Western Idaho Fair says that in order to use your tickets we would have to come back another day and pay $7 a person again! I say if they don't give you free admission to come back another day to use the tickets you bought Idaho should Ban the fair! more

Western Idaho Fair--"It's the Good Stuff!" 8/23/2005

Our family went to the Western Idaho Fair for the first time this week and had a blast! They are large fairgrounds, so there really wasn't alot of congestion and there were so many things to do and see. We went on a few kiddie rides, which are always pretty expensive (.85 per ticket, most rides are 3-4 tickets) but they loved them. They especially liked the petting zoo and got to milk a cow! We were in the sea lion show for about 15 minutes, but they got pretty bored with it and it was very hot in there, so we left that early. Of course the food is always fun at the fair, so we couldn't leave without some cotton candy. There are lots of booths, displays, security, trees, and bathrooms--very well managed! We'll be back next year! more

Fun Family Activity 8/21/2005

The Western Idaho Fair provides a fun evening out for the family. You can hardly resist the smell of all the delicious and fattening fair foods wafting through the air. The rides are average, but don't miss the displays and animals. The hardest thing about the fair is deciding what to eat for dinner. more

Fun and food 8/20/2005

The Western Idaho Fair comes to town every August. The fair has rides, food, and games. You can also see traditional fair things; animals, crafts, and cooking contests. If you like rides and food the fair is your thing. I think it is expensive. It cost quite a bit of money to take your family to the fair. But it is only once a year so I think it is worth it. They have kiddie rides for the little ones and big scary ones for the adults. more
