I should have looked at the menu more when I went in. I don't eat seafood, but I saw steak on the menu so I thought it would be okay. The steak was awful, and the food was really expensive. Even the kids meals were more than you'd normally pay. They served RC Cola (who does that in the 21st century?) which was disgusting. The bread was okay, however, and when you order tea they give you a bowl full of choices so technically you could try one or two different for the same price. Tides Wharf, like most Bodega Bay restaurants, is super expensive. They serve nothing but fish, fish fish... nice if you and your guests like fish, but some people don't and some people are allergic (like me!). I think they have one dish that isn't fish, and maybe one salad - those were pretty good, but not great. I went there a few times over the years hoping the menus would change, but they never do. Great if you are really rich and into fish, but if not don't bother.

This is one of those restaurants we only go to when it's a very special occasion. The food is awesome, but it's totally expensive. Their chef specials are always delicious, if you feel adventurous, go that route. If not, there is the usual clam chowder, crab louis, steak and lobster. Be sure you pack a coat in to the car, the wind and surf can get pretty chilly.
