I am a single unemployed female trying to keep my dog. I had to take my dog off heartworm medicine due to finances. When I saved enough money I knew that he had to be retested. I brought him in for the heartworm test and was told he had a ear concern. He was teated and I did not know that there was a fee. It proved to be negetive and was still given an expensive treatment. When I went to check out I had this very large bill and was unable to get the original needed heartworm medicine. I know that I am insecure an non confrontational but I left the office crying. I do not know what to to. They do not seem to care. I don't need an expensive ear wash I need heartworm medication.Please consider my posting before you bring your animal to this hospital. They just do not care.

Everyone was friendly and made sure we knew everything about all the meds and test that were done. Doctor personally checked my dogs ears and checked everything else that I thought he should of.

I just picked my dog up from boarding yesterday. While boarding, I had her annual exam and vaccines brought up to date. When I picked her up, Dr. Jaffe sat down with me and went over the exam findings. Very detailed and thorough. I never feel rushed there and his staff is just great. By the way, I have been using Dr. Jaffe for almost 5 years and that other poster who said he was all about the money is crazy.

I found out about Jaffe from this page. I was looking for a new vet and read the reviews. I also spoke with someone in the office who said they don't usually answer the phone, and she was extremely pleasant and sounded caring so I brought my dog there for the yearly physical and shots. She was the only person who is kind and caring there. The gal in the front is rude and cold, refusing to help put the new tags I had just paid for on my dog, the "assistant" placed me & my dog in an extremely small room with two doors, which she kept slamming as loud as she could every time she left the room; Jaffe, well, what can I say about a greedy, rude, unproffesional vet who would rather make an extra buck than see your dog healthy and happy? He also forgot to check my dog's ears while examining him and they all forgot to be courteous! In addition, there was no itemized receipt detaling what shots were given, what they had done, and no results of the tests which I had paid for, quite dearly, in the folder I was given, just a lot of junk mail so they can sell more products to you. All in all what a rotten experience! I HIGHLY recommend NOT taking your animals to the Jaffe Vet clinic, you will be overcharged and very sorry.

Dr. Jaffe is a great vet. Last month, our 1 1/2 year-old black lab (Murphy) ate 1/4 bag of organic fertilizer and also got into some yard trimings. Dr. Jaffe was measured and calm as he reviewed the treatment options with me, and we decided to immediately pump Murphy's stomach. Had he not acted quickly, I fear that Murph' may have had liver or kidney failure. We've also taken Murphy there several times for routine check-ups and they are always professional, courteous and available to see us on short notice. I would highly recommend Dr. Jaffe. In fact, my sister-in-law and mother-in-law now also take their dogs to see Dr. Jaffe, and they also have glowing things to say.

Dr Jaffe seems to care about my dog. He is affectionate and playful with her when we come in. My dog is very protective and will growl at most strange men, so the fact that she likes Dr Jaffe is a BIG deal. The ladies that work at the front desk are pretty nice, too. You can see how much they care for animals.

I have no way of proving this, but I think my dog was treated poorly there. When I dropped off our dog at their facility, she had a prong collar on and when I came to pick her up several hours later, I think she was STILL wearing it. It seemed that everytime I pulled at her leash she winced, like her neck was in pain. The girl who brought her out to me looked guilty for some reason-- she didn't look into my eyes. When I took my dog out to the car, she ran straight for a puddle so she could get a drink. I rarely see her drinking from puddles as I keep her well hydrated at home. Did they give her anything to drink at all? I had to pull over at the 7-11 to buy her somewater because she was wheezing so much it had me concerned. Then, when I got home, I was petting her and I noticed a silver-dollar sized scab behind her shoulder. I called the vet about this and it seemed everyone was making excuses. It was in a spot that she could not have done it to herself so I know something happened to her-- whether it was from another dog or someone who works there. Needless to say, we never brought her back there again and I would not recommend this place to anyone.
