I've had many many tell me how great Amalfi's. On our visit, we found the food to be average, not exceptional. Same ewith the service. What was worse, even though we were in non smoking, there was nothing to prevent the cigarette smell from coming over by us. We ate as quickly as possible and left, with no plans to return. There are better Italian places than this

I've yet to find an Italian beef sandwich that is better than Portillo's. I've been eating at their various locations since 1996 and this particular one since 2003. Their cheeseburgers and fries are really good as well. And don't forget the chocolate shakes!
Just a little tip: Be sure to check your sandwich carefully if you ask for peppers on it. Three visits in a row they forgot them! Or make it easy and get them on the side. They never seem to forget them that way.

This is one of the few if not only Little Caesars pizza places in the area. The food is cheap and worth the $5 it costs for the pizza. It satisfies my cravings for pizza other than the typical pizza place pizza. The crazy bread is also very addicting, with its cheese and garlic seasonings! I cannot eat this pizza too much, but once in awhile it does satisfy my craving. Also, it takes 10 minutes for most pizzas, so call ahead or just shop at Kmart while you wait.

Friday's is one of my favorite restaurants in this area. It is a very laid-back place and I always have so much fun whenever I go there. The menu is terrific and the prices are great. I recommend trying the Jack Daniel's steak or the chicken fingers platter (with honey mustard sauce). Their appetizers are excellent too, so Friday's is a wonderful place to go for a couple of beers and a plate of potato skins after work.

More
Roosters Bar & Grill was a big disappointment after having it hyped by friends. My wife loves fried chicken and we were told theirs is tops. The flavor failed to impress her and the puddle of oil on the plate impressed me. I opted for a Buffalo Chicken Wrap which offered a good flavor but oozed a watery liquid from the lettuce and tomatoes.
The Chicken wing appetizer was very good and the restaurant offers more hot sauces that I could count. This is definitely the place to go to if you want to experiment with hot sauce. We also tried the Queso Fundido with its mix of cheeses and chorizo. This too had an abundance to oil/grease pooling on the serving dish.
But the biggest oddity was the timing of the food service. Having mentioned an interest in the fried chicken my wife was informed that extra time was required to prepare the dish. So upon the prompting we immediately place and order for the fried chicken, the appetizers and drinks. When our drinks came we completed our order, there were four of us in total. The appetizers were delivered with her salad, and about two minutes later her chicken arrived. The rest of us had to wait another 15 to 20 for our meals to arrive. I guess I could excuse this if they were packed, but several tables were available.

Mrs. Field's cookies are hands-down the best I've ever had. They taste great when they're fresh out of the oven, so before I buy, I always ask the cashier when the next batch of my favorites will be ready. The white chocolate macadamia nut cookies are to die for, but all of the other ones are delicious too. Don't forget that Mrs. Field's has gift tins available, so if you need to buy a small gift in a hurry, this is a great option.

If you're in the mood for a couple of slices of pizza, some pretty good fries, or some Italian-style sandwiches, then I suggest trying Garibaldi's. This is a family-friendly, casual restaurant/fast food place that is suitable for lunch or a quick dinner. The food is good, the service is fast, and the whole thing is affordable. My family of three can all eat our fill for less than $15 or $20. It's a better alternative than ordering a pizza because we can each eat what we want without having to worry about sharing.

My husband and I have been to this location 3 times now in the past year and have had nothing but awful serivce. Each time the waitress forgets about us, our order, or screws something up. It got to the point that the third time we spoke to the general manager and he said he would send us something to compensate us and he never did. We also had 3 different waitress and all of them were terrible. We have driven 10 miles away to get to another Red Lobster so we do not have to deal with the service at the Bloomingdale location.

Good indian grocer. Very large selection. This is one of the larger selection stores around the suburbs. They have many variety of dals etc. One great thing to get is coconut oil. Coconut oil is great for cooking and also good for your skin. Ambica's prices are also good for the most part. This is a good Indian grocery store that will have pretty much any spice you need.
