Platinum Salon and Spa in Bloomingdale, Illinois offers the best pedicure I've ever experienced. I drive from Chicago to Platinum because it's worth it. The pedicure lasts approximately one hour. It includes a massaging chair, foot-soak, nail trimming and shaping, cuticle conditioning, foot and leg exfoliation and a minty wrap, foot massage, and polish. The staff is very professional yet friendly. The price is a little bit higher than at other spas and quite a bit higher than the average nail salon, but again, well worth it.

This was a shocker! I am new to the area So I depeneded on the internet to find a local facility. I saw there were some good reviews about this place and some bad. I was hesitant to purchase a spa day gift card for my wifes 40th birthday. I walked in to the place on a Saturday around lunch. I was expecting this place to be dead from the reviews I saw about the manager and owner? Though it was very busy which is a nice thing to see. I will add it wasnt so busy that it looked crowded. I walked in and was greated very nicely by a middle aged women I think her name said Karen or Carol? (I forgot) She had a great smile and made me feel welcome from the moment I walked in. I mentioned to her that I was new to the area and was looking for something for my wife (I didnt mention anything about the poor reviews I saw I was judging everything I saw) She was pointing out some of their key services that she really enjoyed and explained that my wife would also. I sat down for a few minutes to look over the menu since there was so much that I could choose for her. This was my opportunity to talk to the customers. I had asked the 2 ladies sitting near me what would they recommend. One suggested the pedicure, this stuck out to me because she said this was the best pedicure she has ever had. She wont go anywhere else but Platinum. I was like "wow" that is pretty good to hear. The other said the facials are amazing! I of course had to ask who should my wife see? She could not stop going on about Marcel or something? and Amy? (Im bad with names) I think that is what she said. So of course I was still hesitant because of seeing these reviews but I figured I would start off by getting my wife one service and see how it goes.
Pros: Nice Staff, Large Facility!!!

This is a great place to go for either a fancy dinner or a weekend getaway. They have a golf course and they offer golf instruction. They also have spa packages. It is conveniently located in the suburbs, so you do not have to go far from home if you are from the Chicagoland suburbs. This place is also available for rental for receptions, banquets, conferences, and parties.

This by far is my favorite Mario Tricoci salon, and I have been to two other Tricoci salons. This location seems to have a very positive and upbeat staff, as well as a positive atmosphere. I have been to this salon about four times now and I even had my hair and makeup for my wedding day done there. I had a junior stylist which did an awesome job and a senior makeup artist who also did great. Everytime I have been there I also did not have to wait very long and was greeted almost immediately. I also love the close proximity to the mall and other shopping areas, as it makes it easier to get shopping down.

Platinum Salon is does haircuts, skin care, nails, wraps and messages. What I like about this salon is variety of services at a peace and quiet atmosphere. They are clean and professional. I will go back time and time again! Although they are higher in price than most salons, they treat you with the most utmost respect and pamper you while you are there. I've been to Mario Tricoci which is down the street and Platinum Salon has the same or better service at a better price and therefore that is why I recommend Platinum Salon to all my friends.

Amicis is a good salon for the price. Although it's in an older building and not as big as those in the area, they have a good haircut for an much affordable price. Their facility is not new but still functional and comfortable atmosphere. They have good stylist and they're staff is friendly. They have good parking space and they even shampoo. Some salons in the area charges $60-$80 for a men's haircut but Amicis is far less.

It is geared for women and offers a host of services such as hair treatments, coloring, waxing, manicures, touch-ups and good old fashioned hair cuts. They specialize in hair and offer beauty tips. They now offer many things that you would find in an upscale, trendy day spa.
My girlfriend went there last summer and had a positive experience. I thought the staff was very friendly and polite. I know firsthand because I was there waiting for an hour for her to finish and I chatted with them!

We googled wig shops and this one came up. Well I don't want to waste too much time on this because it isn't even worth my time. The lady that owns this place also runs it and she was so rude. My mom is going through Chemo because of breast cancer, and this lady wouldn't even let my mom touch the wigs. She was so rude and had no sympathy for someone who is already going through so much. The reason why someone going through Chemo goes to buy a wig is so that they feel better. NOT SO SHE CAN GET TREATED TERRIBLY!!! Check out the Wig Shoppe!!!
