This was a shocker! I am new to the area So I depeneded on the internet to find a local facility. I saw there were some good reviews about this place and some bad. I was hesitant to purchase a spa day gift card for my wifes 40th birthday. I walked in to the place on a Saturday around lunch. I was expecting this place to be dead from the reviews I saw about the manager and owner? Though it was very busy which is a nice thing to see. I will add it wasnt so busy that it looked crowded. I walked in and was greated very nicely by a middle aged women I think her name said Karen or Carol? (I forgot) She had a great smile and made me feel welcome from the moment I walked in. I mentioned to her that I was new to the area and was looking for something for my wife (I didnt mention anything about the poor reviews I saw I was judging everything I saw) She was pointing out some of their key services that she really enjoyed and explained that my wife would also. I sat down for a few minutes to look over the menu since there was so much that I could choose for her. This was my opportunity to talk to the customers. I had asked the 2 ladies sitting near me what would they recommend. One suggested the pedicure, this stuck out to me because she said this was the best pedicure she has ever had. She wont go anywhere else but Platinum. I was like "wow" that is pretty good to hear. The other said the facials are amazing! I of course had to ask who should my wife see? She could not stop going on about Marcel or something? and Amy? (Im bad with names) I think that is what she said. So of course I was still hesitant because of seeing these reviews but I figured I would start off by getting my wife one service and see how it goes. Pros: Nice Staff, Large Facility!!!

Management staff easily annoyed, I asked a question about a massage service and management seemed annoyed to answer. Also, management was very rude to employees in front of customers. Last but not least, this place really needs an update, interior color is too much. (Lavender)

I had a facial from "Julia Roberts" she made such a point to tell me how my skin needed this and that. She waxed my eyebrows and said she was "designing" them, they were uneven and taken in too far. She tried to sell me this product line that she said was the best product line for my skin. I looked at the ingredient list and I was allergic to most of them AND I told her what I was allergic to. I have been getting facials for years!! I have never had a worse experience. Maybe I should have gone to this website first, and read the other reviews for this spa before going. Pros: The spa was beautiful! The front desk staff was great! Cons: Facialst was too pushy.

I just moved to bloomingdale and i went citysearch to find a new spa and based on the previous review, I went to Tricia. She fixed my sad eyebrows! I now have an amazing arch and I get so many compliments! Thanks Tricia! I have recommended all of my friends and family to her. Angela Pros: Not stuffy. Very inviting. No pressure from staff.

This is the place I get my hair cut. It's a wonderful place and large! You are first greeted by a friendly staff at the front desk and the building is very clean and nice. They have a downstairs with a koi pond and also an upstairs (it must contain Medical treatment and spa). The haircut facilities are in the back of the salon and it is very professional and not your typical average hair salon. The prices are on the higher side but I think it is worth it (ranging from $30-$50+ for men's haircut).

Platinum Salon is does haircuts, skin care, nails, wraps and messages. What I like about this salon is variety of services at a peace and quiet atmosphere. They are clean and professional. I will go back time and time again! Although they are higher in price than most salons, they treat you with the most utmost respect and pamper you while you are there. I've been to Mario Tricoci which is down the street and Platinum Salon has the same or better service at a better price and therefore that is why I recommend Platinum Salon to all my friends.
