A superb restaurant, so good we booked for two nights later. Following a warm welcome into the restaurant we had excellent service from the highly efficient professional waiters who described the menu, evening specials and extensive wine list. The food was well prepared, cooked, seasoned and presented. On the palate, the cacophony of flavours was an absolute delight and a testimony to the skill of the chef. Will I use this Mavi restaurant on my next visit to Hartford, most definitely, indeed it will be one of the pleasurable experiences. Pros: Best in Hartford,CT

When I walked through the doors at Mavi I admit that I was already impressed. I felt just like I was in the restaurants I used to frequent on my many trips through the Mediterranean region. When I sat down and read through the menu I was excited by the variety Mavi offered but I wondered to myself "Can they really serve Turkish, French and Italian of equally high quality?" They certainly can. My friends and I ordered many dishes from the major regions of cuisine offered at Mavi. Each had flair, great flavor and truly authentic flavor! Turkish Meze shone, as did Lobster Ravioli and Duck L'Orange. Try this place!

We really appreciate a fine dining experience but it seems to be quite rare these days to find the right combination of good food, professional service and pleasant atmosphere . A lot of reviews for Mavi mentioned the resonable price, which is worth mentioning on a site, but we found it to be a good trade. The staff was very attentive without leaving us feeling that they'd like to rush you through your meal to turn over the table. The food was excellent; a nice selection of entrees (various high-end meats and seafoods) in complimentary combinations with interesting ingredients. This is key to a successful meal for my husband an I--he wants recognizable food he can pronounce and I'm a bit more adventurous. The atmosphere was romantic, special meal with my brother and his girlfriend. Pros: Best restaurant in Hartford,CT.

I went to Mavi this weekend because there's been a lot of buzz about it, especially online and in the Hartford newspapers and magazines. I love the variety of their menu. I don't think that there is anything else in the U.S. that compares to the flavors and beautiful presentation that Mavi's chefs create. Honestly speaking, the portions are so generous that I had a wonderful meal at the restaurant and repeated it again the next night with the left overs. I had the Paris Roll for my appetizer, and the grilled whole Mediterranean sea bass as my main course. The juicy wild duck in the Paris roll was tender and the L'Orange sauce was a perfect compliment. The sea bass was the catch of the day and it was extremely well prepared. It really took me back to a summer I spent on the Greek island of Santorini in college. There is nothing more Mediterranean than a perfectly grilled fish. I gave Mavi 5 stars because the flavor and quality are truly "on the level" when it comes to the amazing cuisine of the Mediterranean.

I really don't think of myself as the type to get overly excited about food. But I really give credit where it is due so I want to give a shout out to Mavi. You dudes are nuts! I called last minute on Valentines to get a reservation and somehow they made room for me. Then, when we got there they treated us like we were red carpet royalty rolling out of a limo. There were roses wall to wall and even the food looked like it had been cooked by Cupid himself. This is my new go to for a hot night. I can't thank these people enough for my very satisfied date's reaction to the evening. Well done, well done! Did I mention the rose petals leading to the door? And nice filet mignon with lobster sauce!

If I were to choose my very favorite restaurant, it would be Mavi in Bloomfield, CT. Though there are many wonderful things about it, I can't get over the quality and delicious flavors of their seafood and pasta dishes. If you have ever had a better penne vodka with grilled salmon than the one at Mavi, I would be amazed. This is the kind of place that you can fall in love with. I hope that it will be around for many generations to come. Their Martinis are the BEST!!!

I give praise where praise is due and I am happy to say that Mavi is deserving of high marks! From start to finish my experience there was seamless. I just loved the soft romantic tones of the decor, the landscaping and the way I was treated while there. There soups and starters are great, as I sampled many items with my party. I was absolutely floored when my seafood mixed grill arrived, loaded with sizzling, succulent catch of the day seafood. Everything was amazing. I would reccomend Mavi to anyone fond of romantic dinners, good ambiance and authentic Mediterranean soul food.
