This is the worst value ever. Its great if you like to be ignored , spoke to in a condescending manner, and like to spend alot of money for chicken fingers frozen fries . Nothing is fresh and they even have the gale to say the cobbler is fresh but in reality its a frozen grocery store brand. The owner speaks to you as if you work for him which if you are ever employed by these people you will be treated very badly so im told. All in all i wil tell everyone i see that this place i a big rip off.
Pros: good looking waitor
Cons: owners are pretentious staff is rude food just so so

Good location
Dress code- casual dressy
attitude- pretentious
service- just as good as Long Horns or any chain-nothing to write about.
Prices- self glorified for what is actually served. Too high. Need more sides or quantity would help. In these days of our economy, everyone is looking for the deal or not dining like they used to. Restaurants are having to offer more incentives or throw in a salad or something. The Tavern still thinks its 2004 and should not play this game. The attitude shows in the menu pricing, quantity, and service.
Pros: good location
Cons: prices dont match the service given or quantity of food

Yeah, the Tavern on the Summit is awesome! I personally love their salads and soups - delicious. But, I guess I'm out of the loop though. What happened in 2008?

I went to the Tavern on the summit Friday with a group of about 15. The food was good but nothing special. We asked for our checks at 6:45. Our waiter confused the checks and when we asked him to correct them he became very rude (he was on the strange side to begin with) so we asked to see the manager. While waiting for the manager (it took him 10 min) another waiter who was helping to clear our table accused one of the women in our group of trying to leave without paying. Since she had already given Rob (rude waiter #1) her money and was patiently waiting on change his accusation was upsetting. When Cody the manager finally arrived he reluctantly apologised and told us that they were both great waiters. The manager checked on our checks and brought a few people their checks back and told us our waiter was right behind him with the rest. After waiting for another 20 minutes we flagged down another waitress and asked if she could find out how much longer it was going to be. Rob the waiter soon came back and said, You wanted me?' We asked for change and cards back he walked off. Soon the manager came back and said that he asked our waiter not to come back to our table. He then asked how much change we were supposed to get back. He made a big show of giving back some change. Two of us were still missing cards and he promised to look for them. He returned about 15 minutes later and said he had looked everywhere and they did not have our cards. He suggested we should look on our table and in our stuff. He was less than friendly at this point. I assured him that I didn't have my card. He went to look again. When he returned he again accused us of having our cards. At this point we had been waiting for well over an hour and I was quite upset. I demanded my card back and told him I was not leaving until I got it. After another long wait he returned with our cards. He made a

He apologized reluctantly and told us that our waiter was very good. He checked on our waiter and brought back change for three of our party. He told us that our waiter would be right back with the rest of our change. After waiting another 20 minutes we asked how much longer. Rob the waiter came back to our table and said "What do you want?" We asked for our change. He asked how much change we were supposed to get then walked off. The manager came back out and gave a couple of people change he wasn't sure of the exact amount of change so he estimated. They still had not brought back my debit card and another persons credit card. He said he had not seen our cards but would look. He returned 15 minutes later and said that he had looked every where and they did not have our cards. He told us to check our table and our bags to see if we had them. I told him the waiter had taken my card and I wanted it back. He promised to check agin. When he returned he assured me he had looked everywhere and that they did not have my card. He was quite short. At this point it had been well over an hour since we had asked for the check and I was very upset. I demanded my card and told him that I would not leave with out it. He came returned after another 15 minutes with our cards. He maid a big production about giving the two of us whose cards they lost our meals free. He then told me he would understand if I never came back.

Order wine & steak, came with salad and baked potato. Quality average, ok. Problem is......NO BREAD was served with the meal. Asked manager why no bread and learned that "complimentary bread is not provided with meals." Inasmuch as bread IS a staple with meat and potatoes, we asked why bread was excluded and received the following answer: "Me and my partners decided not to offer it." Well, that certainly answered my question in full. Manager was abrupt and obviously unaware that bread IS A STAPLE with full meat and vegetable meals. The city is full of good restaurants that know this. My wife and I eat out 4 to 5 nights per week and love the many breads available at the many good restaurants. We will never eat at the Tavern again. The manager should eat out more often.

Pros: Average good food.
Cons: Bread not offered, manager was abrupt.

The food is really very good. I've been told their salads are all great, but I'm not much on salad. I am big on steak, though, and Tavern's is really good. I was surprised by the fries you can order with it - they were true shoestring fries, extremely thin, and had a very good seasoning salt (though they could've stood to put a bit more on there!). The service is okay, but I usually go midafternoon on Saturdays, when they only have one or two waiters for their whole dining area, and I usually eat outside (highly recommended if it's warm/cool enough!), so I suppose it could just be me. The lighting is almost too dim, but that's nice for dinner.
Pros: Good food, ambiance
Cons: Sparse service, dim lighting other than for dinner
