At the Boyd theater, you do not have a huge choice of movie selections or fancy online ticketing, but what you do have is better, first run features for 5 bucks, and concession prices that won't break the bank. Once a vaudville theater, many of the original features reamin, and the screen is set up in front of the stage in a HUGE space. There is also a balcony, but they don't open it anymore. The best part about not offering advance ticketing, is that youreally do get in on a first come first seve basis, and with the size of the theater you can often still get $5 tickets to a blockbuster movie on opening night 10 minutes before showtime.

Although the Boyd Theater in Bethlehem only shows one movie at a time, it is very inexpensive. Ticket prices are far lower here than at any national chain multiplex in the area. It is a nice theater with good sound and screen quality that shows current Hollywood flicks. It also has a good snack selection and the historic facility is well maintained. It’s been a staple of the city’s downtown for over eighty years.
