Ive been shopping at mustardseed since i was in 4th grade. I am now a junior in college. Basically half of my wardrobe is from this wonderful thrift store. It used to be in a different location just down the street and only had used clothing, but now they sell new and used clothing. I just love it. not only can you buy, but whatever you are sick of from your own closet, you can bring to them and they will buy it from you 1/2 of what they sell it for. so I love mustardseed!

Bethesda is a ritzy area. Montgomery Mall has alot of nice stores but it is not overdone. Nor is it too big and daunting. One can cover the whole mall and not need a nap afterwards. The food court has a lot of choices as well.
PROS: Good selection of stores, not too big, good food court
CONS: Can get crowded

This designer consignment store in Bethesda, Maryland is truly DESIGNER carrying labels such as Gucci, Bottega Veneta, Prada, Tods, Cavalli, Armani, Eskandar, Judith Leiber, Dior, etc.
Many clothes still have the original tags on them-if they don't, no worry, the clothes have only been worn once or twice by previous owners- Ladies and Gentlemen who have more clothes than days in the year.
I am still sorry that I did not buy the pristine white Bottega purse I saw last year! But I did not miss the beautiful, python, Judith Leiber clutches. Eight to be exact!
If you haven't been, put a trip to Second Chance on the top of your list!

Strike Bethesda is much more of a fun, hip location compared to many other bowling alleys. The atmosphere is great, and they hold a lot of special events. The price is reasonable, and they have good food and drinks as well. This is much better than the standard duckpin bowling alley.

I have been seeing Psychiatrists since I first starting having trouble with major depression at age nineteen -- I'm 41 now, so you can do the math. I have tried psychoanalysis, cognitive therapy, you name it. I've probably spent over $200,000 to date.
In the end, I decided that talk therapy, while comforting in the short term, was really not getting me anywhere and that, at least for me, meds were the primary recourse.
I have been seeing Dr. Birk since my last major crash in 2005.
I have found that, while my initial reaction was that she was over-medicating me, her choices of meds have really helped me. Most recently, I had terrible trouble sleeping. I went to a neurologist specializing in sleep disorders. The neurologist was not able to help me at all.
The next time I saw Dr Birk, she made some fairly substantial changes to my meds which made me feel like my old self within 48 hours.
I cannot speak to her skills as a psychoanalyst, but looking back over my last 2 years with her, I don't think she has made a single mis-step on the meds.
That being said, my first bit of advice is that if you don't feel a good match with any doctor, try someone else. Second, remember that you are your own best primary care physician and best primary psychiatrist. It is up to you to remind doctors of what has worked in the past and what you feel would be good changes to try. These doctors are not machines. With hundreds of patients under their care, they can't remember every nuance of every thing you've ever told them.

Strosnider’s is another DC area hardware store. This and Bruce Variety are the only ones left after Hechinger’s closed. Strosnider’s is pretty much the same as Bruce Variety, though some people would call this blasphemy. A hardware store is a hardware store after all, and Strosnider’s is a pretty good one with good prices.

When I went to get measured, the woman made me buy a dress in a *much* larger size, which was also more expensive. When it came in, I then had to get it *majorly* altered, since it was then way too big for me!

Beautiful little studio, clean and professional. These folks were able to cover up an old tattoo that other studios told me couldn't be done. And the results are unreal! Every time I go out I get compliments on my tattoo. Rachel Rice is a color-blending wizard. I highly recommend this place.
