Title says it all. We've been there several times and the food almost always come up with much more oil than other Malaysian restaurants. Also, they're not especially known for treating the customers well. For example, one time when I ordered for pick-up service, they forgot to put one of my dishes in the bag (though charged). We called and they told us to come down and pick it up the next day. . . fine, we ordered a few other dishes the next day and wouldn't you know it. . .no discounts or apologies for our troubles. Have not been back since. . . A much better Malaysian restaurant to try is Malaysian Kopitam, located down by Dupont Circle.

If you never try it .. you should go.. it was fantastic place to eat at!!! The foods were great and waiters were very nice and friendly..I LOVE THIS PLACE!

Its hard to pin down Malaysian food -during the same meal, the bread seems Indian, the appetizer, Indonesian, and the main course Thai.However, this mixture does not seem to detract from the uniqueness of Penang. The atmosphere is friendly and the prices moderate.

Penang is an authentic malaysian restaurant catering food for all asians. Despite a malaysian restaurant, the food is almost similar to thai and indian. Especially the appetizer has no match. In india, the dish is called parata and it is the best. Lot of vegeterian varieties there. I love this place. It is ceap, parking is not a problem at all. PROS: cheap, good food CONS: nothing
