There is definitely a large variety to choose from. However, the distance is very far for university students to go to. I went here because I heard the prices were cheap, but it's just not worth the time needed to get here. If you plan to walk it will take over an hour to and from campus.

It's a good bar with a great building but unless you have a hankering for bangers and mash I'd go to one of the other restaurants in the area (there's plenty) and go to Beckett's for a beer afterwards (especially if it's trivia night).

I wouldn't say that I'm an addict cuz I don't drink it daily, but I love coffee...more for what it tastes like than what it can do to me. Heh. Peet's is REAL coffee. It has a nice rich flavor and aroma, and you can even request french pressed. It is not watered down like other chain coffee places. And there is very little of that harsh acidic taste of most other brands of coffee. They have great service and most of their shops have a very relaxing ambiance.

Comic Relief is the best kind of comic book store. It's not that kind with the pinup girls and the dusty smut and the guy who's looking at you funny. Or the kind with nothing but superheroes, and maybe one discount bin of old copies of "What The--?!" No, it's the kind where they don't mind if I eat ice cream (at a distance from the comics), or wander about for a long time flipping through stuff. Where they have She-Hulk as well as Strangers in Paradise as well as Get Fuzzy as well as Pipuzine. And cool toys, and entertaining (sometimes) buttons. Plus, in its new location next to Half-Price Books and Other Change of Hobbit, it makes three bookstores on one block -- almost three bookstores in a row! It's great days for Shattuck near University....

I get sick pretty often, and it's nice to know that the Tang Center was there to help me get everything in order. If you have the student insurance plan SHIP, then by all means go there. Visits, unless they're with a specialist are usually free, at least I've never been charged for just having an appointment. Also, if you need prescriptions refilled, you can just call them up and the machine will let you know when it'll be ready. One thing that always gets me is they've never checked my ID when I pay by credit card, I guess they assume people don't steal medicine.
