Elephant Pharmacy is unlike any pharmacy I've ever been to. They're like if the tea and health part of Whole Foods was gently inflated to ten times its size. They have healthy solutions for pretty much any problem somewhere in their store. Plus they have delicious snacks, sweet and savory treats, fun toys, a great book selection, and a ton of video rentals (including lots of mainstream titles) that rent for just a dollar each. And free classes! And massage! And makeup that won't give you cancer!

the elephant pharmacy is neat in that it has a large pharmacy feel (so it has lots of selection), but concentrates on the more holistic side of medicine so you can find things you won't normally see at the regular walgreens or longs. what's also neat about the elephant pharmacy is that they have lots of workshops available to learn or try new things.

Elephant Pharmacy on Shattuck Avenue in Berkeley is my favorite drugstore. Not only can you get your doctor's prescriptions filled, but you can consult an herbal medicine practicioner, an acupuncturist, take classes or even get a massage! Elephant Pharmacy describes itself as an integrative pharmacy, where you can purchase Tylenol, high end spa products, organic coffee and a yoga mat all in the same place. They also are a great place to find beautiful gifts for friends. They offer classes (such as yoga, dance, etc) every day as well, which are all free to the public. The pharmacy is staffed with friendly folks, and they are open most days until 9pm. The store itself is open pretty late, until 10 or 11pm on most days.
