My eight-year-old son and I love going here. I've been neglecting it of late, but Dr. Moses is great. He does very quick and easy (for me not for him) chiropractic adjustments, and then I get to lie on ice packs on the massage table for ten minutes - how great is that? I would go just for the massage table.
The bathroom has cool old-timey articles about chiropractic stuff, although the decor in general is low-frills. And who needs frills when you can improve your posture, headaches, migraines, back pain, leg pain, and all kinds of other problems? After a few treatments, my posture was greatly improved - for the first time, my body wanted to stand up straight and look forward all by itself, with no pressure from me. Awesome. Plus, he's great with kids - good boundaries, good explanations - and will treat clients' kids for free because he loves kids and because they're so much easier to fix up than us creaky old grownups. Yay!

Walgreens has the general drug-store merchandise (medicine, personal care products, random toys and books, candy, etc.) but the fact that they have all this available makes it a good store in my opinion. The prices are reasonable for the majority of their merchandise, and there's usually something worth getting every time you go. They have cheap movies (mainly old series or relatively unknown movies), around holidays they have candy sales, and they do have a decent selection of drinks, if one just quickly wants to get something. The employees are nice and the service at the cashier is usually fairly speedy.

Distance from the university is a bit too far, so it's not as convenient to come here if you are a university student. However, they do stock up on a lot of off the counter medicine, which is a plus. I usually go there during the fall seaon to stock up on advil and tylenol, since so many people seem to catch the flu in the residence halls.

I love the fact that the Safeway in Berkeley is opened 24 hours. I don't know if they're all like that, but ours is. This place is great in the day time, a convenient place for students to get food. However if you go at night. The place is kinda scary. The lights are dimed to save energy...and there are a lot of people that shoplift around this hour...I myself have witnessed 2 shopliftings...and the security guards don't do such a good job at monitoring the store.
The food is not always that fresh. A lot of the veggies already have a great deal of brown on them...

I made an appointment several days before. Came in on time and ended up waiting 2 hours! the doctor kept telling me she would be right with me. Then an hour after my appointment was to start she went to lunch! Her staff told me she does that quite often. So after her lunch I finally got to go in. Then during the exam we were interrupted numerous times by workman working in the office. I guess they had some electrical problem and scheduled at the same time as my appointment. My lenses were made incorrectly. Twice. They sent the wrong information to the lab. Twice! Two months went by before I got my final pair. Then, a nose piece breaks off of frames after two months. Not a cheap frame, either. I bring it in, they replace the frames. I go home, notice the new frames have a nut and Teflon screw holding one ear piece on. I go back to complain, they tell me they forgot to tell me they're ordering another frame for me. This place is terrible.

I don't really recommend this place to get your supplements because the products there are way overpriced. If you search online, you can easily find cheaper products, even including shipping. I bought a 5 lb. tub of whey for $40 back when I didn't know I could order for cheaper over the internet, but nowadays you can get good whey for $30 shipped. All their other supplements can also be had for cheaper. Also, the staff aren't very
helpful in terms of knowledge on fitness and nutrition, so if you want to ask questions, I suggest you search online forums for the answers and order online; much better, faster, and cheaper. However, it is the only place in Berkeley I know of that sells fitness supplements...
