i recently moved to southern california and one of the biggest bummers is that i am far from the healing practice of koala at on point acupuncture. a friend told me about koala and i was a bit skeptical, as i needed acupuncture for hormonal/women-related issues. but i was delighted to find koala one of those exceptional people who could sit with anyone and connect. the intake was long and thorough, he asked great questions, and listened attentively to my history and my needs. koala also has excellent skills with needles - they didn't hurt at all. i believe he trained at five branches, which was where my former healer trained, and clearly, they are doing something right! i am sensitive to spaces too, and on point is clean, open, and good energy -- with really cool and interesting photographs on the walls. that plus the soothing music, combined with koala's easy-going and wise nature, helped me relax right into treatment. he also prescribed herbs and nutritional info that have helped me and my menses quite a bit. i hope to move back to the bay area so i can return to on point again.

A wonderful doctor! Great with esthetics (which I can't really say about a lot of other doctors that have been doing this for years), very effecient, a lovely person, incredibly competent, and a Yale medical graduate to boot. I get my botox, filler, laser hair removal, and spider vein treatments done with Dr. Brozowski. I think it may be a little pricier than places run by nurses and technicians, but I won't let anyone but a doctor touch me. I'd rather pay a few bucks more than have to worry about bad results...
Pros: Great atmosphere, great results
Cons: Have had to wait for 20 min. in the past

this is REAL yoga: mindful, meditative; "breath is the key to life" yoga.
after going to a couple of 'young buck' yoga classes with 'jungle jim,' (and there are plenty of those out there now with yoga being so popular), i have to say, the traditionally steeped old school yoga is the only way to go: a no injury, no stress, mind-expanding, judgement-suspending experience.
7th heaven offers that kind of yoga.
Pros: REAL yoga!, all levels, some for women only
Cons: we want more branches
