i recently moved to southern california and one of the biggest bummers is that i am far from the healing practice of koala at on point acupuncture. a friend told me about koala and i was a bit skeptical, as i needed acupuncture for hormonal/women-related issues. but i was delighted to find koala one of those exceptional people who could sit with anyone and connect. the intake was long and thorough, he asked great questions, and listened attentively to my history and my needs. koala also has excellent skills with needles - they didn't hurt at all. i believe he trained at five branches, which was where my former healer trained, and clearly, they are doing something right! i am sensitive to spaces too, and on point is clean, open, and good energy -- with really cool and interesting photographs on the walls. that plus the soothing music, combined with koala's easy-going and wise nature, helped me relax right into treatment. he also prescribed herbs and nutritional info that have helped me and my menses quite a bit. i hope to move back to the bay area so i can return to on point again.

He's got a super gentle touch, asks just the right questions and is a caring, warm, wonderful person. I found him by chance and consider him a treasure. I have had chronic fatigue for 17 years. I swear, it's gone now!

On Point Acupuncture healed my asthma within a few weeks. I went there fully congested and relying on inhalant pharmacuticals, having great trouble breathing. I was amazed to throw away my inhalers and have great vitality so quickly. Within another few weeks the herbal formula was changed to deal with intense cramps I had during my period and again I was so relieved to find that Koala and Sean's acupunture caused immense relief. I found these guys on-line and went in to check them out mostly because their prices were reasonable and they're office is close to my house. The office space was really nice and the acupuncture was great - not too painful and really helpful for my particular set of ailments. Both the clinicians were friendly - I didn't feel rushed, they were great listeners and super supportive in helping me deal with my health issues without being too hocus-pocus -y (if you know what I mean). Pros: Clean, bright office space, great clincians Cons: none

This is my first time posting a review on City Search, but after going to see Koala at On Point Acupuncture I felt compelled to share my experience so far. I highly recommend Koala if you're in the marekt for healing specific parts of your body or if you just feel tired, low energy, constantly sore, etc...you name it and there's a pressrue point associated to it. My boyfriend and I started making regular visits about 4 months ago, he for insomnia and I for chronic knee pain. Although we live in the city, we make the trip to Berkeley specifically to be treated by Koala. He is able to see us after work, and at the same time so it's incredibly convenient. The space is comfortable, ascetically pleasing, and totally relaxing (music abounds while you enjoy treatment). Koala did for my knee what no orthopedic surgeon could ever do; helped me to run without pain or surgery! Pros: parking, inexpensive, ambience

I highly recommend Koala Moredo at On Point Acupuncture. I've seen him a couple of times - once for a weird stomach thing which was gone after one treatment and herbs (which he mixed on the spot for me), and once for a chronic knee thing which he was better able to explain (and treat) than any other doctor I've seen. Koala's presence is healing in itself - calm, grounded, easy to talk to, and a good sense of humor to boot!
