I was married in August 2005 and I purchased my Judd Waddell dress at Allegria Bridal in November 2004. I had been to two other dress stores and this store didn't even compare to the other stores I visited. I was so pleased with the level of customer service and the dresses; I couldn't imagine not buying from them! I picked out "the dress" immediately, it was the first one I tried on and after 15 dresses, it was the last one I tried on. My bridal consultant, Lisa was amazing. She didn't tell me what I wanted to hear, she told me the truth. If I didn't look good in a dress, she didn't try to sell me the dress. I loved everything about getting married, especially dress shopping.
If you're a bride and you don't want to feel pressured and want to have fun shopping for a dress, this is the place to go. However, it is not for all price ranges. They do have sample dresses that you can purchase for less money but be prepared to spend anywhere between $1,500 to $5,000 on your wedding dress. In the end, it's all worth it!

Belmont Toys has a great selection of fun as well as educational toys for kids of all ages. They have a wonderful selection of cute and adorable stuffed animals, do-it-yourself kits, and Sanrio products. The window displays are always great and creative. The salespeople are very helpful, and the kids’ music playing in the background is fun for the kids.

I happened to be glancing through these blogs and I cant believe someone wrote that about ben franklin. Obviously ben franklin is not the problem here. Everybody there has been nothing but nice to me. I have been going to this store since I was a little girl. I know employees personally and this is not how they act to their valued customers. I own my own store and I know I only act out of order after a customer crosses the line. Notice every other review about the store has nothing but nice things to say. This has nothing to do with background or hertitage. Ben frankin is a well rounded store. One person's disinterest in continuing to visit this awesome place will not discourage others.

A Wonderful, Wonderful place. I din't find what I was looking for because I found something far nicer. This shop is great for finding Jewelry and gifts that Zales, etc. don't have. They carry artisan collections that far exceed the quality and skill of the mass produced stuff that's out there. The help was excellent and the woman really listened to me instead of "selling" me something. I wound up purchasing a wonderful piece for my wife that she absolutely loves.
Pros: Nice selection, Great Quality, Great Service
Cons: None. I wish I would have stopped in sooner

Cushing Square in Belmont is one of those unique little gems of a neighborhood. There are random little shops and eateries, very few of them part of a chain (Starbucks is really the only chain place). Crumpets is a great little shop that has all kinds of unique items to buy for yourself or for gifts. At first glance you can't be too sure whether they are selling antiques or new items. They have a lot to suit a country or Provencal taste. Decorative items are the specialty, but there are teas, tea accessories, soaps and all kinds of things. The staff is very friendly, too. Parking is pretty easy. There are buses that go to Cambridge and other surrounding towns.

The staff are well trained and friendly. There is a specialist availalbe for trade-ins and they have equipment rentals for those interested in trying out professional grade equipment. Highly recommended.
