I love Belle Flora because they are so easy and willing to work with you! They did the arrangements for my wedding and I was thoroughly pleased. They have fun things in their shop like candles, mirrors, fun furniture, but the flowers, they are divine!
They are a downtown business so parking is sometimes hard to come by, but it's worth the struggle.
They're prices are a bit high compared to other florists around, but if you want high quality, this is the place for you to go!

I bought my wedding dress here because it was the one I wanted and the price was right. However, I wouldn't say that this was my favorite bridal shop. The staff is very snooty. They aren't as friendly as another bridal shop in town and they don't seem to like kids in their store. It wasn't as much fun trying on dresses here (and we all know that trying on dresses is half the fun!), but they had what I wanted. I didn't feel like I could bring all my girlfriends to see me try on my dresses, like I could at other stores. It almost felt like a library in there - be quiet, try on the dress and then buy what you want. They didn't get excited when you tried on the dress and they would tell you a dress looked good on you, whether it did or not. Luckily I did have my mom and sister-in-law there to tell me the truth.
They did allow me to return my veil after it was purchased and exchanged for a different length, but they didn't seem too happy about it.
They don't have much in stock and they only carry one size so if you try on a dress that's a size 6 and you aren't a size 6, it can be tough imagining what it would look like on you.
It's not a bad place to shop, I did buy my dress here, but it's not as much fun to shop here for your wedding dress, but do look here because they did have a dress that I couldn't get at the other place.

This shop is honestly the best place to go for prom dresses wedding dresses and any other kind.
My family does not have a lot of money, but my dad wanted me to have my dream dress for prom.
The ladies there actually cared about me. When my dad went up to pay the lady that does all the alterations gave me free extras like a sash and a broach. They tied the whole dress together. I would go there for any other dresses I'll need.

I'll admit it - I belong to two gyms in Bellingham (Golds and BAC) so I'm not saying this gym has it all but I like BAC for their steam room, hot tub, pool, racquetball courts *and* they offer a towel service so you don't have to actually bring your own towel. I haven't found the place to be any more crowded than Golds during the times I go, though their classes are always jam-packed. Yes, they are more expensive but there isn't any other gym in Bellingham with the amenities they have.

I've taken two cars to Bellingham Automotive for various repairs: a 1991 Honda Civic and a 1990 Geo Prizm. They did a great job every time and were very helpful. Not the cheapest place in town, I'll wager, but the service makes up for it.
Once I got in over my head changing a valve cover gasket. I was trying to do as much of the work myself as possible. The plastic spark plug "sleeves" were stuck in the valve cover and I lacked the right tools to remove them. There I was with the valve cover off and no way to proceed other than to have the car towed to a real mechanic. I took a chance and called Bellingham Automotive and told them I wanted to bring the car in for the remainder of the repairs...but it wouldn't run without a valve cover. They let my wife bring the part in (I was at work) and removed the spark plug sleeves and even cleaned up the cover for no charge. You can bet I took the car straight to them when I got the cover back on!

BCLC is wonderful. Both of my sons attended the daycare/preschool program. The staff is excellent, always full of smiles and helping hands. Karen, the director, helped me out when I was in a dire "situation of need." She let me use BCLC emergency resources to try to help me get back on my feet again. I really appreciated the above and beyond quality of care provided by all at the center. It is quite evident to me that they really care about the kids at the center. They care not only what they are doing while in their direct care, but also what happens when they get home. They develop a relationship with the whole family and I think that is important. They encourage parents to get involved with their kids by reading to them and taking the time to just talk with their kids. They offer a sliding scale for the tuition cost, based on income. This was another way BCLC helps families in need. Being a single mother and attending a university couldn't have happened without BCLC help, I wouldn't have been able to afforded it. I highly recommend this daycare/preschool

Dave and Peggy White of Bellingham Design Center were absolutely awesome to work with when my husband and I were looking at options for a cedar home architect and builder.
The Lindal cedar homes (and sunrooms) that they sell are beautiful and Dave and Peggy worked with us every step of the way, from helping us find the home that best met our needs, to preparing an estimate of how much our home would cost (how much we needed to borrow), to being there when the materials for our home were delivered, and making sure we were completely satisfied with the final product. They are the best.
