The Ginger Boat in Sehome Village is the best teriyaki I have ever had. It is family owned and operated, everyone who works there is great! And the prices are low, low, low, so low in fact that I’m surprised they stay in business; but they do because they are that good! Also, if you like curry try their Japanese style chicken curry it is amazing! Plus, tea is always free.

Sure, the prices are good and it's close to campus- both requirements for the typical broke, starving college student. But there are many, many better restaurants around. The seats are uncomfortable, the plates are made of cheap plastic (though I guess the boat shape is pretty cute), the portions aren't that generous, and the meat is of rather inferior quality. Nor do they have a very good terriyaki sauce- which I thought was a requirement for a Japanese chef. It's rather oily and unflavorful, and does very little to help their stringy chicken.
