The owner of Stanello's Restaurant in Fairhaven has permanently closed the business. Not sure what the problem was. The food was always great. I heard he just decided to get out of the food business.

I've read the blog. I've read the review. And quite frankly, everything mentioned by smiller1951 is complete slander. Stanello's is a wonderful restaurant with a great atmosphere. They offer delicious Italian cuisine at an affordable price! Stop in between 4:30 and 6:00pm weekdays for their 90 Minute Blitz specials which give even greater discounts on their already relatively inexpensive food. Steve Miller is one of 'those' people. The kind that show up to a restaurant with their arrogant attitudes expecting the restaurant to bow down and kiss their feet. Don't take the advice of someone like that, they're not the real consumer, they're just a complainer who probably never got told "no" as a child. Pros: Friendly service, affordable food, great atmosphere Cons: none!

Sadly both our groups were in the same room at the restaurant. I was really glad that Mr. Miller and his very rude group, decided that if they couldn't have everything there way, they would storm out of the restaurant and make a scene...were very rude with the server...I was so glad to see them leave. I hope Mr. Miller and is self important friends find a place of their own, or maybe open their own restaurant. I would love to go to his place and act the way he did at Stanello's. Rude, Loud and very Arrogant. 3. ...I can still recognize a self-righteous bunch of loudmouth, holier-than-thou customers, like Steve Miller and his too-important-for-common-courtesy clique, who are the inspiration for the "We reserve the right to refuse service" signs posted at most businesses... 4. Wow I think we were there the night Mr. Miller and his party were there. They were loud, rude, and obnoxious. I worked as a waitress while in college and was never treated as badly as these jerks treated their servers and the restaurant owners. I was relieved they were kicked out of the place.

Do you like rude, insolent people? Then you'll love the owner of Stanellos. We were in Bellingham for the Washington State High School Golf Championships. We had five girls and three boys from Life Christian Academy in Tacoma, WA, plus coaches and parents -- about 26 people. We were looking forward to a great meal and a fun evening. As we arrived, our group was seated in a large, empty, unimpressive room. The LaSalle High School team and parents sat nearby. When the last of our party arrived the owner told them they could not sit with us, even though the room was half empty. He led them upstairs to a completely empty, large room and said they had to sit there. When asked why they couldn't sit with the group, he got very angry, yelling that he didn't like us. One of the other parents tried to discuss the situation with him and he just got ruder and ruder. A few parents got up to leave. i went to the owner and said, "You're going to lose all 26 of us." His response? "I don't care. I'm glad you're leaving!" So we did. We all went across the street to the Mambo Italian Cafe where we were warmly treated and had a GREAT meal. BTW, at the golf course the next morning we told the people in the pro shop about our experience and they said, "Yeah, he's been getting really weird lately." Cons: worst service I've ever seen
