I lived in B-ham a while ago, but I still miss the Co-op. Reasonable prices and that pleasant co-op, small town feel. They have an extensive bulk section (vinegars, oils, syrups, honey, dry goods, etc) and it's just fun to shop there. They also honor PCC memberships cards like their own.

Such a pleasant place to shop. Especially great is the wine selection and bath and personal items -- they carry the Alba line of skin products and Burt's Bees. Produce is always fresh and employees are always helpful and pleasant. There’s a little coffee stand here too serving local Tony’s coffee that opens bright and early at six am!

I can honestly say I have never been in a nicer grocery store, however the upscale atmosphere does come with a heafty pricetag. I do like that you can get ANYTHING that comes to your mind...and I love the fresh spinach dip. If you are just doing your everyday grocery shopping, just bypass and go to the cheaper store in town.

While the prices at Cost Cutter are higher than other stores, I think that they make up for it with the people that they employee. I always get the best customer service here, and their grocery manager, Chris is an excellent example of how everyone should treat customers. He always has a smile on his face and is more than willing to do what needs to be done, whether it's bagging groceries for an elderly customer or special ordering an item that is hard to find. Good customer service is hard to come by these days, so I appreciate the service that I get here. I buy all of my groceries here and am willing to pay a little more for the groceries for the extra customer care.

Being in Sudden Valley, this is really the only market in our area. You probably wouldn't do your regular grocery shopping here, but because of it's location is a good place to go for the one or two things that you might need in a pinch. If I need one thing, or even want one thing (like pop or chips) I can quickly run to this store and get what I need. You'd think a small store like this would be expensive and maybe some things are priced a little higher, but it's worth it for the location and even some items are cheaper than the big grocery stores. I am glad that this market is here and will continue to do business here to ensure that it remains in its current location.
