Yes, they are smaller, but who needes "3" theaters for 'Pirates of the Carribean'? sheesh...wasn't even that good! lol But...Johnny was divine!! (wink)

The Dance Studio has been serving Bellingham/Whatcom County for over 28 years. The Studio has 10 professional teachers who share the love of dance with their students. Ballet/tap/jazz/hip hop/pointe and acrobat are taught at the studio. The Studio is open 6 days aweek. Three different groups have spent summers performing in Australia. My daughter was one of the lucky ones in the last group - 14 students participated in a lifetime experience.
Each year the studio has 2 sold out performances at the Mt. Baker Theater in June. One dance consists of the fathers in the studio - lifting, tossing and supporting the ballarinas - they are waiting for their own daughters to become of age to dance with them - another lifetime experience...
The philosophy is to learn, have fun and get as much self confidence for life...comes easily with the love and support from the whole staff.

I love this place. For the price of the piece, you can select an item and paint it however you want. The price includes the painting, glazing and firing and you have a wide selection of tools to help you. They have stamps, stencils, books and samples all over the store to help you. It's a great atmosphere and whether you want to paint by yourself or with a child, you will have fun. The owners/operators are very friendly and this is one of the better paint/fire/glaze places I've been.

Treasury of Memories is not just a scrapbooking store...it is a place where ideas for creativity are endless. They have an incredible selection of almost everything you could think of. The staff is kind and helpful and treat you like a friend stopping in. The classes are amazing because they are simple- yet you leave with some awesome skills to implement. Plus- you leave with an adorable project that can be replicated at home to give as gifts or even for yourself. Their diecut selection is always being added to and they teach a free class every month for all diecut club members. (Only $12 for a whole year!) Even if you don't diecut- the classes alone are worth far more than $1 a class! They also have a FREE paper party once a month. You make a project with quality products, embellishments and learn some new skills as well. The store hosts a garage sale twice a year...with customers being vendors. Treasury totals the amount each vendor makes and then issues a gift card to the store to buy new goodies. You can find fantastic supplies at the G.S. and save a bundle. Treasury also hosts a 20 hour benefit crop that is above and beyond any crop I have ever been to. The money raised goes to support a local children's charity and for Seattle Children's Hospital. Do I work at the store? No...but I am a die hard customer who can't say enough good things about this store! Treasury of Memories is indeed...a treasure!

This is a quaint theater, but don't be decieved by it's size. While the stage and seats appear small, they put on big shows that are quality. The performers obviously take their jobs seriously and you will enjoy the shows that you see here. it is kid friendly, but the downside is for the short adult. The seating doesn't allow for the shorter adult to see the entire stage, and as a person under 5 feet tall, I find that frustrating. Especially when other theaters offer cushions to sit on. Other than that, you'll love a night out at the theater.

Lake Padden is a very good local public golf course and a very good value for your money. The golf course is very well designed and tree lined with some great holes and very nice views. Some holes are very tough when tight fairways and hills come between you and the green. The cost is very reasonable and condition of the course is good.

Sudden Valley golf course is another great public golf course. The quality and condition of the course is always very good for a public high volume golf course. The holes are very good and some are easy and some are very hard. The views of the area are great and typical of northwest courses with many pines and rolling hills. The cost is very cheap and well worth the trip.

The prices are very good for a local golf shop and compare well with discount retailers online. Club selection is good ranging from irons, woods, wedges, putters, and hybrid clubs. The Bellingham Tennis club is one of the best tennis clubs I have ever been to. One of my friends is a member of the club and he took me there for a game of tennis. The club is very nice and the staff is great and treats all members and guests with style and class. The cost is not too bad if you are into tennis. I would join if I played more tennis than golf.
