Each month the local SPJ offers networking events called Press Club Nights. Once a month a group of 20 to 50 journalists and media specialists gather together to network, meet, greet, and share ideas. The events are free and are open to freelancers, members of the media, media staff and journalism students and faculty. These casual two-hour networking events are usually held at an area restaurant in Skagit or Whatcom County.
