Village books is a must stop if passing through Bellingham. It resides in the fairhaven area of the town. It is not huge, but it has many unique treasure that are fun to browse through, and more often than not end up purchasing. Because it is an old house, it is easy to get lost wandering around. It is quite fun though, because you never know what lies around the next corner. There is a great cafe inside upstairs if you want to take a quick break. Nice place to spend a day with friends for independant and group reading.

It's a pleasant, quiet place to spend the afternoon and there's a beautiful bay view from the new cafe upstairs at Village Books. Prices for food are a bit pricey for the Fairhaven/Bellingham area, but worth it for the view and open space. Enjoy! The coffee is good here too and a bottomless cup...

I'll give you three reasons why Village Books is probably the best bookstore in Bellingham. 1. It is Located in the heart of history Fairhaven, the most picturesque, brick building dotted district of Bellingham. 2. The brand new facility has the most bizzare and intriguing sculpture you will ever see hanging in the corner window of a bookstore. Are they peppers or organs? And they are huge. And I hope it doesn't fall on you. 3. On your birthday you get to buy a book at a discount equivalent to the number of years you have been alive, up to %40 (but make sure you sign up ahead of time). 4.
