I agree with John F. They are very friendly, and patient with novices like me. + They have an unbelievably large quarter comics section if you want to try stuff out.

The Comics Place is now under new ownership. The new owner is a really cool guy and I don't think he would ever be unhelpful. He even goes out of his way to get special orders for customers--and not even the regulars either. He's fun to talk with and he's willing to chat as long as you want to hang out. I would never go to another store for my comics or related items. The Comics Place is the better comic book store in town.

This is a comic book store, but they do have other items, such as collectible action figures and t-shirts. Unfortunately you aren't able to browse the comic books, they want you to buy them before looking. And, if you're interested in their action figures - forget about it. They don't have any prices listed on their figures and when you ask how much they are asking, you are told that the "owner" knows the price and unfortunately he isn't there that day. What's the point of putting it out for sale, I ask? We've been in there several times and each and every single time, that is the response we've been given. We have yet to buy anything here, but heaven knows we've tried really hard.
