This little shop is all about dance. You should be able to find anything you need -- shoes, tights, leotards and all the hair foo-foos you could imagine. My daughter (long past 3 now) has very fond memories of it from the time we were shopping for itty bitty ballet slippers. Have fun!

If you don't sew and are curious about what can be done with one of those new fandangle embroidery machines, check out Northwest Sewing. They carry Bernina machines only, and they are top of the line. I never imagined that you could spend as much on a sewing machine as you might on a used car.
The people that work here are passionate about the machines they carry and they are passionate about sewing. It is contagious.
If you buy a machine and you don’t know what to do with it the have classes that will take you through the steps of using the machine. Plus there are other classes to make specific things.

This do-it-yourself ceramic painting studio is located in the Crossroads Mall. It is has quite a few tables and a big room in the back for private parties. It works like other businesses of its kind--you pick a ceramic piece and they go to work painting it with their supplies. What is really nice about this place is that you don't pay for the time that you paint. It is all included in the price of the piece you choose. Other places I have painted charge you by the hour, which makes it very expensive for people like me who are very slow painters. They have lots of pieces to choose from, from tiny figurines to huge platters. Some nights they hold adult-only salsa nights, where they play salsa music and serve margaritas. This is definitely a place to keep in mind on a rainy day.
