Last Friday, a few friends and I went out to Bellevue to have dinner at this restaurant a friend of mine began waiting for. Hearing about the size of the place, I didn't have very high expectations going into dinner. However, after the first bite of my apetizer(mac&cheese), I realized that this place is a quality restaurant. I arrived during their happy hour and was able to enjoy cheap drinks and apetizers. I ordered Mac&Cheese with crab meat, cajun chicken wings, a gin martini, and a gin and tonics. The apetizers were only $2.99 each (I paid extra for the crab addition) and well drinks/well martinis were only 4 dollars. I hope to return soon.

Ascada Bistro provides a very nice environment, especially in the summertime for outdoor lunching. The food's pretty good, too. It can be a pleasant experience. I've eaten there several times, only for lunch, and each time the service was okay. The food was good, but wasn't really worth the wait. Each time I went, the process was very, very slow. We went there with a group from work, and lunch took 2 hours. Not optimal. But if you're not in a hurry, it's a nice place to eat.
