As my family and I were sitting and eating dinner, what did my brother spot out of his eye? Yes, a RODENT. A big fat RODENT came running down the center isle way headed straight toward our table. The RODENT went under the table and my entire family of six sprung up and stood on their chairs. Meanwhile, one waitress spotted a RODENT and spoke in Chinese to our waitress. Our waitress in return told us to come with her to sit at another table! I told her we lost our appetite and my family left. The waitress did not apologize for the RODENT or sympathize with us for wanting to leave. My family and I were absolutely shocked not only for seeing the RODENT but also shocked about how the restaurant took care of the situation. They did not tell anyone else in the restaurant and acted like it was no big deal. I PLEAD WITH YOU, DO NOT EAT AT THIS RESTAURANT!!!
Cons: RODENTS

Try the Maple Leaf Restaurant on 148th Ave NE for a great Chinese dinner. The prices are very reasonable, the service is professional and very courteous, the food is very good and more than you can eat. The atmosphere is subdued with usually Beethoven and Chopin music in the background. The staff speaks perfect English and are very courteous and pleasant to talk with. If you don't understand something on the menu, they will very politely inform you what the meal includes so that you won't sit there looking like a real dummy in front of your friends. If you are looking to bring a date and you want good food and you want to be able to talk and spend a relaxing evening dining out this is the place to go. You will not be disappointed.

It's usually an indication that a Chinese restaurant will be good when the owners make appropriate Feng-Shui adjustments to the site, like bamboo, deity statutes, moon-shaped entrances, gold-colored shiny things and flowers. But don't take that as a sign that the food isn't loaded with MSG -- which is true here too. It is moderately priced and a good value for the money. Of concern to me are the bowl of skittles by the cash register -- if they don't mind everybody putting their hands in the same bowl of unwrapped candy then what other hygiene considerations do they ignore? However, the food is well prepared, and the portions substantial, so I recommend dining as part of a group rather than alone if you go here.

Moved to WA in 1997. Tried dosens of Chinese restaurants in Greater Seattle for a year and couldn't find anything better than this one. Decor might need to be updated a little, but food, service and value is THE BEST. Go the at least once or twice a month, so do the math for 6 years. Would I go there so many times if it wasn't that good?
Pros: food, service, parking
Cons: none

A great bet for lunch. It seems like it's always practically deserted, though. The food is great, and the lunch specials are a steal. Service is almost obsessive, and when the waitstaff deliver your chopsticks, they fold them up into a little chopstick rest for you. Constant refills on whatever you're drinking. The food definitely isn't authentic, but if you're look for cheap, good eats and you've got a hankering for Chinese food, check this place out. They have a karaoke bar, which has also been deserted every time we've been - maybe they do some major business on the weekends and that's why they can afford to have an empty dining room most evenings? Whatever it is, the food is good. Try the hot and sour soup, and some crab rangoon. Typical Chinese fast food dishes are served elegantly - General Tso's or sweet and sour chicken are staples.
Pros: good service
