Daniel's Broiler in Bellevue is located on the 21st Floor of the Hyatt building downtown. We received some gift cards for the place a while back and just got around to using them. We were greeted and seated by a polite and informative hostess. Our table was right by the window with a lovely view of Lake Washington and Seattle beyond. We ordered some wine (good list - something for everyone) and their shrimp and crab appetizers. The best thing about the crab is that it comes already out of the shell; just dip (or not) and eat. Both appetizers were quite good. Since Daniel's is known for their steak, we both had filets. Both were delicious cuts of meat, cooked just the way we wanted them. Dessert was also to be had (since we had those gift cards). I don't recall what my husband got (but he liked it), and I got the chocolate-dipped strawberries with Grand Marnier in them. They were very good, and with my coffee, just the right ending to a nice meal. When all was said and done, this meal cost us about $250 including tip, but it was worth it since we had the gift cards, and would be worth it for a special occasion or spendy dinner. The service is quite solicitous -- our water glasses were kept full, our empty plates whisked away. Our server was friendly, helpful and polite. All in all, an enjoyable meal.

Daniel's is a place to go for a special occasion. The steaks are what it's known for, and I've had excellent fresh grilled fish too. The views are impressive. We prefer the Leschi location, as it's a little quieter, but if you want a nice steak out with family, friends, or business associates, Daniel's is the place. The bar is also happening.

Located on the top level of the Hyatt in Bellevue, Daniel's Broiler is a great place for a good steak on a date, or to take an out of town business client. Been here several times and never been disappointed with the food, but it is a little on the costly side. Not for your every day dining. Great ambiance & good menu.

Skipping the rush of Valentine's day, my wife and I like to pick another day to go out and have a nice dinner. This year we went to Daniel's Broiler in Bellevue. We made reservations on Saturday for the same night, and the earliest available was 9:15 PM. Not a big deal since we waited to make reservations. When we got there, I expected it to be pretty quiet. It wasn't though. The bar was hoppin', packed with Bellevuites. A little bit older crowd than your usual Saturday night bar scene. Our waiter was a bit odd, but overall, it was a pleasant experience. I've never been much of a steak guy, so I went with the Ahi tuna. That may have been a mistake, because I sampled some of my wifes meal, and the steak was some of the best I have tasted. The Ahi was delicious as well though. My favorite part of the evening was when one of the employees, carrying a tray full of prepared place settings, dropped one, and the steak knife stuck into the ground, through the napkin, straight up and down, only an inch from the guys food. Good show. Daniel's put on a good show, but El Gaucho still takes first place for me for the special occasion dinner. I'd much rather go out in downtown Seattle than downtown Bellevue.

Daniel's Broiler in Bellevue has the most breathtaking view, over looking the water. But to find this place is a bit tricky, so I recommend calling ahead for directions. With all of that aside, this place is the best steakhouse that I have ever been to. The service is unbeatable and the steaks are only the best USDA Prime. Daniel's Broiler is owned by the Schwartz Brothers whom also own many other restaurants around the greater Seattle area. Daniel's Broiler is split into two sections, the bar which plays live music and the restaurant area for fine dining. I loved it so much that I joined their membership which allows me to get discounts on my meals and $50 off on my birthday. I highly recommend taking your partner, thats if you want to impress them!

Daniel's Broiler sits nearby rival Ruth Chris' Steakhouse, so I can't help but compare them and decide they're similar enough that they may share a kitchen (though I have no proof of this). The Bellevue location has a rather nice view of the surrounding downtown area and lake, and is a great place to eat. It's a bit pricy, but the cuts are excellent and rather sizable. Unfortunately when I went the waiter was rather curt and not very good at his job. Kind of surprising for a place which is excellent in every other way. It being my first time he didn't introduce the resturaunt at all. He also didn't mention they put steak butter on all their food -- being lactose intolerant it would have been nice to know this so I could have requested my steak without it. The food all came out overcooked, as well -- every steak was at least one notch too cooked, some two or three. Again, a shame to ruin such good beef. Since the waiter didn't write anything down, and seemed a bit befuddled during our ordering process (we asked a few questions), I'm not sure who to blame on this. I do know he never asked how we liked our food though. Upon mentioning to him (at the end of the meal, I ate my steak anyway) he should mention the butter, he simply said "that's just how we prepare all our steaks here, so I don't feel it's worth mentioning". The cuts definately do have potential, if the kinks get worked out.

This is the epitome of a special occasion restaurant. The service is amazing, the views are spectacular, but it's all about the food. Even if you're splitting an entree with a friend, order your own salad. They are the best salads, period. You will not regret it. The meat is always tender and of excellent quality. It is expensive, but they always make it a wonderful experience to go there.
