The first meeting I went to I knew this was the group for me. After trying a couple other Mom's groups and not finding what I was looking for I was so happy to find this group. It is a fun bunch of women who love being moms but are much more than just moms. The meeting are informative and relative to my life. There are many activities and chances to connect with other moms. I highly recommend this group if you are looking for more than just playgroups.

I recently decided, after checking out various bike shops in the area, to buy a Trek 7300FX Hybrid bike. I checked out the popular Gregg's Cycle and was shocked to find that their prices were almost $100 higher than at Bicycles West for the same exact bike. I went down to Bicycles West and picked up my bike for $75 off of the retail price. A few weeks later, I was having trouble with my bike and decided to take it in for adjustments. The friendly staff did all of the adjustments free of charge. Around a week after that, my bike needed some more tuning up and I took it in again and again, it was free of charge. I also bought some very cheap, nice, Nike biking gloves that were on sale. This place is very friendly, the staff is very knowledgeable and the prices are awesome!

Sylvia's Swimwear located in Bellevue at 14100 NE 20th, also has a store near Northgate. Sylvia's has supplied many of the competive swimmers around here for many years and always helps you find what you need, even if they don't have it in their store. They stock a variety of swimwear, so that non competivie swimmers can find what they want as well. I highly reccomend Sylvia's for all of your swimming needs.

Olson's is a great tack shop. They are pretty pricey, but their stuff is always worth it.
They also have really good prices during sales. (I got really nice comfy Grand Prix boots for $70!) Overall, a great place.
P.S.
The staff are the best!

I've been shopping at Sturtevant's for snowboard gear for years. I just went back recently for boots, bindings, and a helmet and was helped by a really friendly guy that really knew a lot about the gear. Not only about what gear was good for what style of riding, but also how to fit it (I learned a lot about how boots should really fit). Also, the prices are about the same as you would find online.

More
So, a few years back, my wife and I each bought a bike from Gregg's. Having never had a really good bike before, I was really excited to finally be getting one. It's been long enough now, that I don't recall all the details, other than when we left, I had a great bike (Trek 700 something hybrid) that would last me until I "graduated" to the next level of biking, and my wife had a great starter bike.
The reason I'm writing this review is the experience we had last Friday night, going in for their free "Beginning Bike maintenance" class. This was a remarkable experience. One of their employees stayed almost two hours past the closing of the store to give me and my wife, and about 4 other gentlemen, an intro into bike maintenance. There were a few things covered that I knew well, such as how to change a tire. But even on topics like that, I learned a lot of new details, and left the class feeling like I could keep my bike in good working order with a minimum of effort. This was really important because I recently started biking to work, having that nice combination of distance between house and work and terrain, and insane gas prices making me look at alternatives.
All in all, both for service, the lack of the "hard sell", and the education they freely give their customers, I would say give Gregg's, whether in Bellevue, or in Greenlake, a chance to get your two wheeling under your own power.
