This was our favorite place for coffee (Best Coffee by far in Bellevue) and for foods that you won't find at the majority of your standard american restaurants. Unfortunatelly, they are closing and another asian restaurant will be open there soon. Too bad...Don't get me wrong, I like asian food, but there are so many asian restaurants around and so few really european places....
Kelly good luck to you!

What an amazing little restaurant/delicatessen! I have been going to Porcella for the better part of this year and I have not wanted to share for fear I won't be able to find a seat because the place will be packed. Well that fear stops now because I am singing it's praises! The cured meats rival that of salumi! The lamb sandwich is divine and the delicate truffled gaufrettes are the perfect pairing. I appreciate the small amount of truffle salt as the use of it is so OVERDONE in Seattle. The house-pickled vegetables are ho-hum, maybe ask for a side of the squash (with raisins and pistachios) instead, yum! I looked through the side case to take some food to go and my eyes zeroed in on parsnips with vanilla I had to have them! The chef obliged and heated the parsnips up. I greedily took them away and gobbled them up for lunch. The vanilla was a unique touch but the parsnips should have been roasted because they tasted waterlogged.
Overall this place is great, it just needs a little tweaking. Go Go Go!

The food seemed ok although not our style. My problem was that our server handled our money, and then proceeded to touch our food! Even Subway has rules on that! Then he stocked with his bare hands the bread basket, and then touched our money again. I was pretty appalled. Maybe they are going for "European" sanitary standards.
Pros: You can experience new foods here
Cons: Did not wash hands and touched all kinds of food!

Shhh, don't tell anyone about this place. What a find, I may never have to cook again, with all the selection of restaurant quality meals ready to take home and heat up. Think of all the thing i can do with my free time. Great grocery selection of hard to find items at realatively decent prices. Awesome wine, cheese and meat selection which is wonderful for quick appetizers for guests. Porcella is one good reason to go to Bellevue.
Pros: Amazing selection of fresh local menu items
Cons: are there any?

This is the place to go when you are looking for french deli or unusual high-end ingredients. Where else can you get duck confit, leg of lamb and other classic dishes ready to go in the deli. There is also a small market carrying diverse and interesting ingredients from duck fat to truffle oil. The sandwiches are incredible and all come with truffle frieds which are out of this world. The only difficulty with this place if finding parking.
Pros: Unique Foods You Can't Find Anywhere Else
Cons: Finding Parking

I have been here twice and it has been each time one of the best meals I have ever had. For the quality of food.. $13 to $20 a plate is cheap.. trust me. The creme brulee is the best I've ever had.. by far. The custard was absolutely perfect. I'm amazed that the current rating on here is only 8.6.. which is absurd. It should be about 9.8. And if you live in the area.. you HAVE try this place. Primarily french with new culinary wave influences. Amazing. Truly.
Pros: Profound meal
Cons: most of the seating arrangements are not ideal

Porchella is a god send for Bellevue - a European style market that serves great prepared foods, charcuterie and sandwiches. I've eaten at Porchella several times and have always been impressed by the quality of the food. Try the proscuitto sandwich, its to die for with the fried egg on top and truffle chips that come on the side - hmmm very yummy.
Pros: Foodies paradise
Cons: not cheap

These guys know what they are doing. While most markets feature purchased charcuterie items, they are making it from scratch with local organic meats. The shop is beautiful with unique foodie treasures from around the world and dinners are fabulous. The bistro portion of the space feels like something out of a French movie. The menu was fabulous and well priced, the wine list (off the shelves of the store) is amazing, and only a 5$ corkage fee. If you live on the east side, make a point to spend an afternoon here then go over to Bis on Main for some cocktails.
Pros: Great food
Cons: limited service
