I first learned about 3 Pigs from a newspaper review right after it opened over a decade ago (that review is even posted on their wall) and my wife and I have been regular customers ever since. They specialize in Texas style BBQ, and everyone I've brought there or told about it has agreed their BBQ is excellent--including an actual Texan who verified that 3 Pigs does it right. The Farrell Bros have run the place from the beginning (they didn't change hands as another reviewer had surmised), and the sauce is perfect--just the right amount of spiciness and not too sweet. (Note that they also sell sauce commercially, but for some reason that sauce, as good as it is, isn't the same or AS good as what they give you at their establishment.) Their shining achievement is their fall off the bone tender beef ribs. If you're a big eater you might go for the Wednesday night all you can eat beef ribs (and sides) though it's a bit pricey; their 4-beef rib dinner costs less and works for me. My only criticism is that on the rare occasion the brisket can be a little tough, but when I brought that to Todd or John's attention they've gone out of their way to rectify it. So if you like gimmicks then go "meet the man" and sit on park benches, but you won't get beef ribs there, period, and the Farrell Bros have got the best in the city (and the baby backs, available only towards the end of the week, are also excellent).
Pros: Beef ribs, sauce, friendly people
Cons: Brisket can be tough on occasion

Has to be one of the best BBQ places around. I have been to at least 15 BBQ restaurants around the area and I have to say this one's the BEST! The pulled pork is one of my favorites there. But if you are looking for ribs and brisket this is the place to go. Most of the other places claim to be champion BBQ places but I don't know where the competed. Must of been in a remote place. This place has true southern style. The right amount of sauce not to smother the great smoke flavor really helps. I don't like my BBQ smothered in it. The spicy sauce is my favorite. I highly recomend this place. And if your looking for a great stew, go here!!
Pros: Pulled Pork, Brisket, Ribs
Cons: To far from my house

I'm shocked that this place can even exist in Bellevue, there cant be any way people frequent this joint. The name of the place must be in reference to the rude broads that work behind the counter- and the kitchen & people working in it look filthy. As far as the food- we spent almost $20 to split a meal and threw it all in the trash. The whole experience was beyond dissapointing.
Pros: NONE
Cons: Terrible excuse for bbq, rude staff, nasty kitchen

The Food was great overall especially the ribs. But somehow the bill everytime I go there ends up being a little too expensive for a fastfood style restaurant. I always end up spending $15 per person.

My wife and I have been enjoying this wonderful barbeque for the last two years. The succulent baby back ribs nearly melt in the mouth. The sauce is tangy and delicious. I have eaten excellent barbeque throughout the east coast. My wife is a Kansas City native having cut her teeth on Arthur Bryant's wonderful barbeque. We both feel Three Pigs has meat, sauce and baked bean sides that not only compete with the best of Kansas City, Memphis and Carolina, but exceed in both flavor and quanlity. We liked the sauce so much we bought a jar to take home and use on baked beans and to have in an emergency in case we have a craving on Sunday when Three Pigs isn't open.
Pros: great barbeque, wonderful beans, excellent value
Cons: closed Sunday

Must have changed hands. Been going there for years on weekends because nowhere else to go at that time in whitebread suburb.
Used to be OK barbecue. Now, it's oven-baked pork with grocery store BBQ sauce, cold corn on the cob, stale corn bread and nasty, real nasty, cashiers.
Suggest you wait until weekdays and drive about three blocks north. You will find real barbecue behind the roofing store. Honest people, smoked product and food to die for.
Pros: Open on weekends.
Cons: Food, service, quality and price.

I read some of the reviews and decided it was a safe bet. i Liked the intamate seating in the booths and the sports decorations on the walls. Thats where it stopped.. The pork rib dinner that I ordered came with 2 side orders. the beans were decent. could have been out of a can easily. the cupcake cornbread was the best part. The ribs came out and looked very dry. but smothered with sauce. Not cooked in but just dumped over the top. the pork was hard to chew though and really gristly and fatty.. basically it looked like boiled ribs with your choice of hot,med or mild sause. I was not impressed in the least and do not recommend eating there.

Finally got to eat here after being foiled twice on separate Sundays because we forgot that's when they're closed. The pulled pork sandwiches were great. My wife wanted more of the excellent sauce, but I thought the meat could stand on it's own - smoky, moist and tender. The cole slaw was creamy - but bland. The potato salad was tasty. We'll be back to try the ribs and other offerings.

I highly recommend the pork over the other meats though.
Pros: Fairly fast service, good parking, convenient

I've had the best BBQ in the country from Memphis to North Carolina to Kansas City. This is not even close to what real BBQ should taste like. The meat was tough, not flavorful and the side items were not even edible. Add in the complete uniterested staff and a depressing atmosphere and you will leave wondering how this dump stays in business. Do yourself a favor and stay home and eat a frozen pizza!
