Pretty good Korean restaurant located in Bellevue near Microsoft. Of course what do I know as I'm chinese, but my korean friends seem to like it! Their BBQ is very good, and so are their soups. I also really like their appetizer dishes.
A few minuses though - first, they didn't have two dishes on their menu - seafood pancakes and cold noodles - claimed it was out of season... Didn't know noodles go out of season? And also, our waitress just left our check on the seat back while we were eating and never even told us about it! We waited for 20 minutes for her so we could ask for the and finally we saw the check on the seat back and just paid up front... That was pretty weird. I think maybe her shift was over so she just left it there.

Poor service. Over priced. Smokey environment from all the hot plates frying up meat. i wonder if it's properly ventilated. i don't particularly like coming here.

If you crave Korean BBQ, skip this place, and head for SouthGate Korean Resturant in Eastgate, or to Seattle on HWY 99.

Blue Ginger (korean bbq) in Bellevue is really good, but the price is a little high. I love the condiments with all the different types of kimchee (sp?). The BBQ is cool, but after a while it gets tiring of cooking your own food. The food is great, but the service could use a little work. For the price, I would expect better service. It seems like we were out of water and kimchee and asked the waiter for more. After couple attempts and about 30 minute wait, we finally got what we ask for. Overall experience was good for Eastside Korean BBQ. The customer service and I guess the popularity of the restaurant of being pretty busy (waiting) will be the only cons of this place. If you have an appetite for Korean food, try this place and you will like the atmosphere and food. Recommend going during the weekdays where you don’t have to wait too long.

I’ve had a lot of good, inexpensive Korean food in places like Toronto and Vancouver previously, so the prices at this place took me little back. Although the atmosphere is very nice and the service was good, the portions were not very big for the price, and the minimum purchase requirement to use the table BBQ/grill was a surprise.
