I went into Joseph Jewelry with a stone I had received as a gift, and wanted to have it put into a ring setting. Danny helped me go through several designs that they had in the store, and narrow a design down to exactly what I was looking for. Only about one week later, I received an email with a rendering of the ring, and it looked great. I picked up the ring a few weeks after that, and it is amazing, everything I was looking for! The auto cad program they use for designing your own pieces is great - and allows you to do whatever you want. I definitely recommend Joseph Jewelry to everyone - especially if you want to create your own design!

Tiffany and the staff there were wonderful during my first visit and went out of their way to make the experience comfortable. It was an impromptu shopping trip with my two little girls as I dropped a watch off for service. They helped entertain my girls so I could view a few items. I didn't feel they were condescending and I definitely didn't feel pressured. I'm pretty granola-style wearing Crocs, drive a Volvo stationwagon, and went to UC Santa Cruz. I had been going to AG for years to service watches and I always felt it was personalized and attentive service. I also enjoyed the easy parking and being away from the hustle/bustle of a mall. This was our first purchase there. Tiffany took the time to show me several watches and explain all the fine details. I finally bought my husband a Rolex GMT Master II a week later over the phone while traveling out of town. The gift to last a lifetime for Father's Day and about 20 years of missed gifts. I usually don't buy gifts for my husband because he is quick to buy items he loves. I already knew he had been eyeing several watches online, but I kept putting him off the idea because of impostors etc... Ofcourse it's not an issue at AG. BTW, they went above and beyond with everything including the details of packaging because I had it shipped and with follow up. I do not hesitate to recommend them.
Pros: Surprise, a cabinet of toys to entertain little ones.

I recently took a beginner's beading class at Beads and Beyond and it was amazing. The owner, Kathy, is extremely smart, knowledgable, and doesn't talk down to rank beginners like me. She taught us a lot of tricks you won't find in books, and gave us plenty of time to work on our own projects while walking around to help us individually.
The store itself is wonderful - a huge selection, reasonable prices, and very friendly staff willing to explain things, make suggestions, or keep out of your way if that's what you prefer. Such a great resource on the Eastside!

My hubby bought me the most beautiful engagement ring 14 years ago from Marci (on his mom's rec - she had shopped there a lot) and flew down from Alaska to make the purchase. It's a marquis in a custom set w/ 22 princess cut diamonds on the side. When we were in Seattle last month, I lost one of the princess cuts, brought it in to them, they replaced it for a fee (I was supposed to have it serviced over the last 7 years and didn't...so I had to pay) and they remembered me and our family and the ring! The ring looks like new and I can't believe how they brought it back to life! They've helped us out numerous times over the years and John is always available - he's awesome! Thanks Marci for making us feel special, for having such high quality and for not being just 'another jewelry' store.

It was a great experience and I consider that I'm very lucky to have met David and get introduced to D'Original Jewelers.My background - I did not know much about diamonds except for what I could read on the internet. We've got engaged!!! I was looking for an engagement ring, something special, not pricey, original but yet simple and beautiful.I've been there with my uncle who really knows a lot of things about diamonds.David spent about an hour explaining and teaching and showing me a lot of things about rings, stones and much more beyond the simple 4Cs.I've been to Tiffany's and Cartier and 4-5 other shops. Both shops were great and had very good quality neat rings but there were not so special. Everyone can go to them, everyone knows them - it's worldwide.David can accommodate I'd say every wish you might have. It's just amazing and he's doing a great job understanding what you want. He's very passionate and there's absolutely no pressure, he's very straight forward and you would definitely walk away being thrilled of what you will find.You can get classical high quality jewelry or he'll be happy to show you many models, many types - signature cuts and you'll be explained the differences, tradeoffs...the choice is entirely yours and you do get to see the result.

Rob V. sounds like he was trying to impress his fiance with champagne on a beer budget, and should have gone to Zales instead of a Master Jeweler who once taught university level precious stones and also has a very impressive array of stones here in Bellevue. Too bad that Rob V. mistook superior knowledge to that of arrogance, but then one cannot educate a square rock to skip..

I have a ten year old Breitling and needed to have it serviced. Went to Alvin Goldfarb in Bellevue because I'd heard that they were the best. From Sara (who took in the watch) to Steven (Alvin's son), the people were great. I knew it would take awhile to get fixed, but it took less time than I thought, and they were great about keeping me apprised of developments. Watch is back, runs great, and I'll be back to look for some presents for Christmas.

Saw Javid (sp?) at Nique and he gave me a deal on a wedding ring that couldn't be beat. He told me to take that price and check around. I checked everywhere, Costco, online, at the mall jewelers and his deal was still the best. Got the wedding ring appraised later from a lot more.
Pros: Great price, trustworthy

I found everything I needed here. I wanted to get a nice gift for a graduation and I went here to find a nice timepiece. I was not disappointed. They had a great selection and the staff helped me pick one that fit my guidelines. The price was excellent and I got a great deal. My friend was thoroughly pleased with his gift. Parking is ample.
