Sushi land rocks if you want good sushi for a great price. Of course there are better tasting sushi else where but it would cost you double. Sushi is the best for cheap but good sushi.

Flo is an outstanding restaurant by any measure. For the relatively modest size of the restaurant, the menu is varied and the preparation uniformly superb.
While every item on the menu is good, I would most highly recomment the 5 course tasting menu. At first blush, it appears a tad expensive ... but once you have been served this menu, you will gladly order it again. Every dish in the tasting menu is outstanding, and perfectly paired. Of course, it is different every time you visit the restaurant, adding to the specialness of each opportunity to dine here.
The personnel of the restaurant are committed to creating a great dining experience, and seem to be long-term employees. They are very good at remembering clients, even those who visit only a few times a year, and make you feel welcome in a way that only a smaller restaurant can.
I consider the restaurant a good value -- quality of food, consistency, service and choice are all first rate.
While I 'headlined' my review by citing Flo as the 'best on the east side', this is really not generous enough. I would be hard pressed to name a materially better Japanese restaurant in Seattle. In fact, having traveled to Japan with some regularity on business over the last decade, this is just an excellent restaurant by any standard.
The only change I might make would be to expand/improve the wine list. But this is a minor 'nit' and the excellent choices in Sake (warm or cold) make up for this almost insignificant limitation.
Pros: Broad, sophisticated menu
Cons: Limited wine list (but excellent Sake)

This restaurant is one of the best sushi restaurants in Bellevue area. Both the rolls and entrees are excellent. I'd suggest SpiderRolls and ChickenKatsu; very crispy and tender. Get their green tea ice creams if you still have enough room in your stomach for desserts; it's super good. No problem finding a parking. The service was great and atmosphere inside was nice. In the summer when it's still bright at night, you can see a lake outside the restaurant even though it doesn't look too nice. The food was pricey.
Will go there again but only for special occasions.

My family loves the sushi every time we go there. Very reasonable prices, large amounts of food. They have a large menu to satisfy everyone's palate. Is definitely a hole-in-the-wall type of place - don't expect wonderful service or atmosphere, but go there for the sushi!

This restaurant is the rock and anchor in my life, the only place that i can rely on time and time again for delicious food and prices that a meager college student budget like mine can handle. I put eating at Ginza on the important list somewhere between paying taxes and breathing. Needless to say I love it. I used to think it was my little secret too, tucked away behind the main part of Old Bellevue, out of sight of the prying eyes of the swarming crowd Bellevue-ite wannabe cultured restaurant patrons waiting for the next great restaurant they can rob of its innocence. Last night for the first time in the last 3 or so years I've been enjoying Ginza I was unable to get an instant walk in seating, which of course, left me heart broken (I do usually eat lunch there). Get there at the right time of day though and it can be your little private Japanese paradise, just you, your waiter and your chef, and the food of the Gods. Almost everything on the menu (most of which I've had) is completely indescribable. If you can reach nirvana by eating delicious food, then this will be the place my soul leaves my body behind, in my comfy little chair at my favorite table with a half chewed bite of spider roll in my mouth. I'm going against all my better judgment in sharing my love of Ginza with all you, but i feel as if you all will respect my Eden, the way I have for these few years I've enjoyed it. And if you don't then God help you I better not be around when you don't.

I've been going to Sushi-Ten Hama for 20 years now, since a year after they opened in 1987. Being a certified sushi nut, I've tried most of the sushi restaurants on the east side, and I always come back to Sushi Ten when I want the highest quality sushi.
Seiki is from, and was trained in, Yokohama, and knows his sushi better than anyone I know. His fish is always fresh, or he wont use it. His rice is perfect. Every time I order a hamachi, or a saba, or a taco, it tastes so much better than any other places' offerings. He's happy to make custom sushi from on-hand ingredients (I'm fond of a spicy tuna roll with green onion which is like a dynamite roll, except sub maguro for hamachi).
I will be the first to admit the service can suffer, especially when they get busy. But if you're going to Sushi-Ten for a quick sushi bite, and demanding enough to get upset if you don't get the Cadillac service you're expecting - you're going to the wrong place folks. Sushi is an expensive item, fresh fish is very high maintenance, and a balance must always be struck between costs and profits. The real question is do you want rapid-fire sushi, or do you want sushi that tastes like heaven. If you want it fast, go to the safeway deli because obviously you don't care about how well your sushi is prepared in the first place.
The best way to enjoy Sushi-Ten is to go early (11:30 for lunch, 5PM for dinner), relax, enjoy a beer or a sake, and actually enjoy and taste what you're eating. There's a reason most of the japanese folks I know on the eastside go here - they know good sushi when they taste it.
Selection is less than in some places, but the key is knowing what's in season. Recently the big eye tuna was in season - and tastes as excellent as any toro. Seiki is happy to explain what is and is not in season, so feel free to ask!
Pros: Best fish, 30+ year experience sushi chef
Cons: slow service when busy

Since I was introduced to this restaurant, I kept going there and I abandoned P.F. Changs. I love the taste of the food. The atmosphere is relaxed, the value is good. I highly recommend this if you are in the mood for good Chinese food that is not too greasy, not deli style yucky, and better than P.F. Changs! To understand why I am saying this, try Kung Pao chicken, cashew nut chicken, general Tsao, garlic eggplant, to name a few. Really tasty almost like home made Chinese.
Pros: Great ambiance, fantabulous tasting Chinese food.
Cons: The outside does not look as nice as the inside.

Pretty good Korean restaurant located in Bellevue near Microsoft. Of course what do I know as I'm chinese, but my korean friends seem to like it! Their BBQ is very good, and so are their soups. I also really like their appetizer dishes.
A few minuses though - first, they didn't have two dishes on their menu - seafood pancakes and cold noodles - claimed it was out of season... Didn't know noodles go out of season? And also, our waitress just left our check on the seat back while we were eating and never even told us about it! We waited for 20 minutes for her so we could ask for the and finally we saw the check on the seat back and just paid up front... That was pretty weird. I think maybe her shift was over so she just left it there.
