I stepped into this store looking to see if i could find a good variety and collection of yarns. they do carry some of the standard brands - bernat, lion, vanna - but they have a good selection of specialty yarns as well. I was hoping to find reasonable prices but left disappointed. the staff was busy setting up for the day but not one of them welcomed me (their only customer at the time) or asked if i required assistance. the store is quite large but only a small section is dedicated for yarn. It is mostly a fabrics store.

If you're looking for a local place to buy a nice variety of fabric from, Pacific Fabrics is it--they carry a wider variety of bolts than the big names like JoAnn and Hancock, plus they offer classes in a variety of sewing related areas--quilting, clothing, crochet, knitting... Going into their stores is like walking into a textured rainbow--they also have a good selection of kit projects that you can complete without a sewing machine. Probably my biggest complaint is their introductory sewing classes are always during the workday--hey guys, some of us have jobs. :-)
