I met Dr. Young when I was searching for a surgeon to do my back surgery. Although most neurosurgeons deal with brain and spinal cord surgeries I sought out a neurosurgeon and not an orthopedic doc. My surgery involved a breakage of my L-5 vertebra.
When I met Dr. Young he patiently explained the procedure. I asked several questions. He was never rushed and took all the time I needed. Three days before my surgery I panicked and needed some answers. He called me at home and talked with me for about 20 minutes. He gave me the option of postponing the surgery until I was ready. He was never arrogant or pretentious.
**He was up on the latest technology and techniques which I cannot say was the case for an orthopedic doc that I saw. He used synthetic bone protein instead of the old bone graft from the hip. My recovery time was significantly shorter than most!
Long gone are the days of doctors who treat their patients like humans, are up on the latest technology and are highly skilled.
I highly recommend Dr. Young for any type of neurological problem.

Dr. Hwang was our primary care provider. She is absolutely amazing. She also specializes in Ob/Gyn, so she saw me for all of my prenatal care and delivered my son. Her office staff is also very friendly and the wait time was short (if any) at my appointments. I highly recommend this office (and particularly Dr. Lucy Hwang) they are the best!

In 2007, the Friday before Father's Day, I was so energyless until I could barely stand up, yet alone pick up my four-year old son. I had been that way all week, but I thought it was because of working long hours at work. Out of grave concern, my wife insisted that we find an urgent care facility that Saturday morning, which we did.
We called several facilities and choose US Health Works (Bellevue) because they told us to come on down and they would fit me in that morning. Other facilities told us that we would have to wait half the day! We arrived at US Health Works and were greeted by a friendly or organized staff. The doctor I was assigned to was Dr. Card. Dr. Card turned out to be the best doctor I have ever had in my 50+ years. He was very empathetic and attuned to every word that I was saying. During our conversation, he quickly diagnosed my problem. He ordered a couple of tests to confirm what he thought my symptoms meant.
After about 5 minutes, Dr. Card came back into the exam room and said, “Well, this is one of those good news bad news moments. The good news is you do not have to be admitted to an emergency room. The bad news is you have Type 2 diabetes. But, the good news is, it's treatable.” He took his time, about 30 minutes, to explain to my wife and I what this meant. He issued a prescription and scheduled a follow-up appointment for the following Friday. On Monday after Father’s Day he personally called and asked if I had a good Father’s Day, if I was taking the medications and testing, and how I was feeling about the news. I was totally blown away. Two days later, he personally called again to see how I was doing. Who would have ever ‘thunk” it, a doctor who genuinely cares about his patients!
We have been using Dr. Card as our primary care physician every since then. He sees my son and wife and provides them with the same attention and humor that reassured me during the life-changing circumstance that I experienced.

I had to find a new physician earlier this year after my husband's company changed insurance providers, and I was very upset about losing my previous dr. But upon the recommendation of another medical professional I set up an appt. to see Dr. Anne Tuttle at the Virginia Mason Bellevue clinic. I have been to see Dr. Tuttle on multiple occasions this year for various reasons, and every visit has been very pleasant. The thing that has amazed me is when she's in the examining room with me she is very pleasant and patient, truly listening and spending as much time as I need - you never feel like she's anxious to bolt out the door to get on to her next appointment. I have found her to be very thorough and caring. If you're needing a doctor I can't recommend her enough! She always remembers you and your circumstances from one appointment to the next and you don't feel like "just a number" with her.

More
If you are in the market for a naturopath or acupuncturist, I strongly recommend you NOT go to Tamara Macdonald. I saw her at Northwest Natural Health in Bellevue, and she now also works in an office in Bothell (don't know the name but it's on NE 180th). I did not post this under Northwest Natural Health as I cannot speak to the efficacy of the other practitioners in the office there, only Ms. Macdonald. I was given the impression, by Dr. Macdonald's inappropriate comments to me, that there was discord between her and the other office members.
I went to see Dr. Macdonald with very high hopes that a natural approach would have a positive effect on my list of health concerns. When I say “list” I mean it literally – I actually presented her with a list of things that I wanted to work on with her to improve my health. One of my concerns was chronic insomnia. Dr. Macdonald became myopically focused on this one issue and the rest of my concerns completely fell out of focus, never to be addressed. She applied various approaches to my insomnia, the main one being acupuncture.
If anyone asks me if I think acupuncture actually does anything, I say, “Sure!” After all, my many, many sessions I had with Dr. Macdonald, quite a number of which left me bruised and bleeding (I don’t think this is typical), resulted in a change in my insomnia! Unfortunately, the change was for the worse. The four to five hours of sleep I was managing to get per night was reduced to two hours! The absolute most I could manage was 2-1/2. This happened directly following a particular acupuncture treatment (they were all a little different). She never even attempted to “reverse” whatever she had done, and by that point, I'd frankly just had it!
Dr. Macdonald seemed to be guessing at a lot of the things she did. She would get out books and read through them while I was in her office, looking for what to do or what to apply. She used a book to find the acupuncture points for me in many of my sessions. I don't know if this is typical, but I had the feeling perhaps it wasn't. While being a very “nice” person, she was quite scattered and forgetful. She didn't go over blood test results with me but thought she did, she often couldn't make heads or tails of her own notes, she kept “looking” for the “directions” for a treatment she thought would be fundamentally effective for me but she could never find all of the instructional pages in the entire *eight months* I saw her, she couldn't seem to get her billing right and kept presenting me with newly calculated amounts that I owed, she left me unintelligible voice mail messages and then would leave additional VM messages that "corrected" the last but were also nonsensical, etc. Her “treatment” of me would sometimes take a left turn after she spoke with her friend at the blood work lab who asked if she had tried this or that. Dr. Macdonald would then apply the lab tech's suggestions to my treatment. Often times, actually, those applications seemed so simplistic that it was amazing Dr. Macdonald had overlooked them.
The acupuncture treatments were sometimes painful and often left me bleeding. I've since talked with others who never had this experience. She would usually put a needle in my wrists during each treatment. One insertion must have nicked my artery as it started bleeding rapidly under the skin. Dr. Macdonald was immediately very panicked and squeezed my wrist so hard it felt like she would break it! It was excruciating! My entire wrist was blue following the “treatment”.
Something that was additionally disturbing is a kind of guilt complex Dr. Macdonald would attempt to put upon me, her patient, as if by not getting better I was making her look bad. She made very strange comments to this effect, leaving me at a complete loss for words. The entire experience was extraordinarily unprofessional as well as damaging to my health.

I had my exam with Dr. Im and he was by far the kindest not to mention well groomed Dentists I Have ever experienced... After having a hack job done to my teeth by Dr Derakshani in Bellevue I decided to try sunrise dental. With many of my fills having to be replaced Dr. Im showed me exactly what was wrong and explained my treatment plan to me. Due to the amount of work that needed to be done I was over whelmed with the cost but was delighted to hear that there was a plan that allowed me to break up the work so I could gradually get the work done. When I had scheduled my final visit he discovered some cavities that were not in my plan to my surprise he filled them then told me that the work was more important then the money he filled my teeth and said whatever my insurance didn’t cover they would take care of. I got the work done and then to top off everything I got free teeth whitening trays... The dental Hygienist Megan was super nice I have a problem remembering names but she left a lasting impression I would recommend this place to anyone cant wait until my daughter is old enough to go here!
