I love this place! I don't buy my groceries here, except for hard-to-find items, since I prefer the Trader Joes just down the road.... We come for the toys, tableware, and cooking utensils. They sell doll-sized kitchen/ food toys that my daughters LOVE, called Pucci, or something like that. The store has a nice feel to it, and the people who work there are always kind.

It took me years of living here to even figure out how to say the name of this place, but I've loved going here since day one. The Bellevue location is smaller and dingier than the Seattle store. I think both are fun to take out of town people to, with each having its own pros and cons. While the Bellevue store is dingier, it also has more character and it is a little less overwhelming. My favorite parts of the store are the snack aisles, where you will find all sorts of neat things to try (I recommend the wasabi peas!), and the non-food items area. I think I could spend hours in this sundries section alone! They have a lot of fun little gifts and accessories for your kitchen or table. If you are looking for Asian cooking and serving items, this is a much better place to check out than overpriced ritzy shops. I hope Uwajamiya stays a Bellevue fixture forever!

Compared to similar stores i like this because you fresh vegetables . The prices are also ok. There is one near my place. So i go atleast once a week. I recommend it . PROS: Vegetables CONS: Nothing in my point of view

This is the place for Japanese grocery shopping. I don't go there so often because theit price is so high, like every Japanese store. they offer some real Japanese spices and salad, which is delicious, but pricey too. Normally you can find cheaper price for most products they sell at Safeway. I recommend the ice creams they sell, very good and I couldn't find anywhere else.

Dwarfed by the larger Uwajimaya store in Seattles I-District, this location provides a very convenient alternative to those east-siders looking for common Asian ingredient that are impossible to find in the likes of big-chain supermarkets. I like shopping here because the products, selection, and price are still fair given its location in Bellevue.

The Bellevue store is smaller than the one in the U-district (or the one in Beaverton), but it's the only place on the Eastside to find a lot of Japanese products. Their produce is always fresh and of better quality than what you can find in typical grocery stores, and it's the best place to buy fresh seafood (including fish for sashimi or sushi) as well. For other Asian foods, 99 Ranch Market has better selection and prices though.
