From the moment my husband and I walked into the Levitz store we were immediately turn off by the service we received. The salesmen were extremely sleazy and were only after the sale. The prices are great but above all the service is awful. We decided to give them a second chance and this time we were surprise that someone was willing to truly help us find exactly what we wanted. But once again they failed. We gave the salesmen our information and he was going to look around and help get us a few options but has yet to return any of our calls or send us the options and this was several weeks ago. We started looking around and there are so many other places out there that have much better deals and service. Costco Home is amazing and has everything you could need; you get more for your money here! I suggest looking around before giving your business to Levitz!

Ok, so now I remember why I shouldn't shop at Levitz. The whole experience was awful from beginning to end! Stay far, far away! Went in looking for a family room couch set. I've looked everywhere and couldn't find one I liked, but amazingly, found a set here. To be fair, the prices are pretty good and you can negotiate. However, on the downside, it's just not worth it. The salesgirl was kind of flip to us, but hey, even I can live with that...after all, it's a busy store, and it's not Nordstroms. But the real kicker, were the delivery guys! Setting aside the fact that 5 out of 5 pieces of furniture that I bought came damaged (yet another issue), when I pointed out the fact that the sofa (and yes it was the largest piece) had a major defect in it, the delivery guys started swearing at me and kicking packing material around, etc. It was obvious that they were unhappy about having to move the piece back into the truck. Of course when I pointed out the other two pieces had flaws in them two, one of the guys decided that I wasn't even worth unpacking the other two pieces of furniture for me to even see it and said he was just going to take it back. (This is after about 10 minutes of swearing in front of me inside the house, and later complaining and griping about me while they were outside of the house, so I could hear.) The guys tried to tell me that if they left it, the service guy would come and fix and if it wasn't to my satisfaction, they'd take it back. Of course, when I actually had customer service on the phone, they told me that it was my choice not to accept or have the service guy come, but if he came, he would make the determination if he was able to fix it sufficiently or not. In any case, not a direct translation. Bottom line is that all the furniture came damaged and I felt physically threatened by the delivery people. STAY FAR AWAY!! Some things in life are just not worth it, and Levitz is one of 'em!

You can find better prices if you do the leg work and the haggling. When we bought a bedroom set from Levitz we got a good deal, that is why we didn't complain about the defeats in the furniture. It just wasn't worth the trouble and I could fix the problems myself. The one thing that made me not want to go back was the delivery people that set up the furniture. One of them wasn't wearing any deodorant. The odor was not too pleasant and it lingered for days even after disinfecting. I felt bad for him, however, Levitz need to talk to the people who deliver for them since they are representing their store.

Writing this, I know I'm going to leave out at least one part of my long history with Levitz because there were just so many problems! I ordered more or less a complete living room and bedroom set from Levitz. The prices were about average, so I expected decent service, but here is what happened: 1) Delivery pushed back a few weeks without notification 2) They arrived without the full order, so I had to wait 2 more weeks 3) Almost everything was damaged, most of which I noticed and had to wait for replacements on, some of which I noticed too late. 4) Some damage was done to my property when they were moving 5) Very rude delivery people (except one group which was excellent) 6) They brought the wrong bed, had to wait for a replacement 7) Lied to me about return policy (I wanted to cancel my order after #1-6 above) Stay far away, they really do not care about the customer.
