Who needs frills when the food is so down home awesome? If Dixie's only intention is to serve good BBQ and fixings, then mission accomplished! I stopped in to Dixie's last week for the first time and ordered a brisket and link sandwich with a side of potato salad. I also had a cold creamy root beer from the ice chest. What a treat!!! As a native New Englander and former resident of the south, I can honestly say I've tried just about every kind of BBQ sauce out there and conjured up a few recipes of my own but it all pales to Dixie's BBQ.
The sauce was the perfect balance of sweet to heat and the consistency was on the money...not too thin and not too syrupy thick. The homemade potato salad was amazing: perfectly cooked potato's, mixed with onion, some pepper and of course the REAL mayo, not the SALAD dressing. I could live on that alone!
Skip the "vending machine" soft drinks and go for the root beer that was recommended to me by the woman at the register. She knows good food and recognizes the true "foodies" standing in her line waiting to chow down of the offerings available.
Only wish I wasn't so full, missing the lemon cake and baked beans that day.
Pros: Authentic no frills BBQ that will knock your socks off!
Cons: Reading the reviews from frill seeking sissy's.

I cant say enough great things about this place, its my families favorite restaurant by far. Just had dinner there on Friday night- called at 6pm & got reservations for 7:30! So not only is it fabulous food & service, you can still get a great table with little notice. What could be better! I've tried several things on the menu- all excellent but my favorite so far is the swordfish. If I had to pick a last meal- this would be it.
Pros: Everything
Cons: Cant think of one

I think tap house raised their price since last time I went. Kinda empty too. Well I had baby back ribs, and they were very delicious. They were out on HB, so had Kingfisher beer. Not bad. Prime discount is definitely nice. Perhaps it's not the hang out place like it was once, people have moved over to Maggiano's or McCormick in Lincoln.

My wife and I went here the other day, and although I'm not a huge fan of Bellevue in general, we greatly enjoyed Andiamo's Italian authenticity, the romantic setting and wine. We had a delicious and romantic dinner. Not sure what this person below was complaining about, sounds like a foodie with a bone to pick. I'd say this place was fantastic, despite the fact that it's located in Bellevue ;)
Pros: Beautiful sumptous food
Cons: none

Friends brought me to a comedy show and we stayed after to play pool. The food was better than I expected, the staff is super friendly and the general crowd that hangs out there is laid back and having fun. I plan to take my out of town family to a comedy show next time they are here. Great Eastside location means no having to drive & park in Seattle!!
Pros: Nightly events and daily happy hour specials
Cons: Traffic in the Bell Square area

I went to Daniel's broiler last night to listen to some good music. I've been going there for about the last 6 years or so to see the piano guy named Jim sing and play. He always plays my favorite song (by Coldplay) as soon as he sees me walk in. I'm always amazed at the fact that he remembers my name AND remembers my song. I feel very special walking in there, but then I realize that he knows everyone's favorites! I brought some of my friends from the eastside up there last night. It was surprising to me that they didn't even know that there was an eastside piano bar. I think they will become "regulars" there now because Jim knew all of the songs they wanted to hear. Last night Jim told me that he's been playing at the Bellevue Daniel's for 20 years in October. I was shocked to see how much energy he could have after doing the same thing for 20 years. But, every time I'm up there, he seems to keep it fresh by learning a few new tunes. And the other good news is that they just started a late night happy hour in the lounge to go along with the great entertainment. I think I may be visiting even more often!
Pros: Love the music, great variety, perfect "date nite" place
Cons: Can get very crowded around the piano, but still lots of fun

I must admit after reading many of these reviews I really did not want to eat here, but only because it was convenient to meet one of my friends did I agree. I really don't get some of the other comments. Our waitress was just a delight, the service was quick and I ordered - Phad Bai Kaplau, veggies were fresh, good flavor. Had green tea ice cream for desert. I really don't have more to say, but my friend and I were happy with our dinner and the service.

Had a satisfying meal in a classy restaurant after a long time .The attentive service ,the food and ambiance were a class act.,despite being short staffed, everything was so lovely.
The owner does get a bit touchy feeley, and just parties with friends while the waiters strive to deliver. The chef has a magic touch.
Pros: the staff ,simply adorable.
Cons: Short of wait staff.

Sushi land rocks if you want good sushi for a great price. Of course there are better tasting sushi else where but it would cost you double. Sushi is the best for cheap but good sushi.
